Sileo (Dexmedetomidine, a sedative, pain med especially for kids prior to anasthesia)

Question: I've searched in many places and hoped to find information, help here. Hypothetically, Someone's sleep medicine is delayed several days and with a severe condition,that's a horrible place to be. his vet recently suggested Sileo, a short acting sedative for dogs who have a real fear of thunder, fireworks. He has one and researched it first. Discovered it was originally similar to the drug Michael Jackson was was given too much off. He's thinking at the right dose, and less is netter than more, perhaps sleep,will come. Average sized dog takes 4 drops rubbed into gums. Assume method would be similar fir humans? Ineffective if swallowed. I spouse he could ask for the dose for 100 lb dog and double it but I'd rather touch base w doctor on people med.

I wouldn't recommend taking Sileo as it's not FDA approved for humans.
