If I typically take 10/325 percocet how many 5 hydrocodiene do I need for the same effect. i am still waiting on my meds and found an old rx thanks.
 
Oxy is 1.5 times more potent than hydro. Basically 10mg oxycodone = 15mg hydrocodone.
 
How many 10/325 Percocets do you take?

If if you take just one (10mg) than 15mg of Hydrocodone will be equivalent.

The above poster is correct, Oxycodone is 1.5x stronger than Hydrocodone.

So if you take,

10mg Oxycodone, you'll need 15mg of Hydrocodone

20mg Oxycodone, you'll need 30mg of Hydrocodone

30mg Oxycodone, you'll need 45mg of Hydrocodone

and so on..
 
I typically take one at a time on days when the pain really sucks i'll take 2 and dose twice a day instead of 4. It's hard enough with my dr on all the vacations; i don't want to be out early on top of that so whatever happens i do my best to stay under the 4 a day prescribed.
 
Although a bit less effective than Oxy you might find that the Hydro lasts a little longer.
