Perhaps this should be in 'amusing links' but I think it's an interesting point of discussion.

The site above tests your subconscious to see if you have an inbuilt bias over several matters:

sexuality
skin colour
gender
body shape
arab muslims
weapons and race.

I did the sexuality and skin colour tests - the results were in line with what I expected. The tests suggest that I have a slight preference to straight people and a slight preference to light skinned people. Try some of the tests and see if you surprice yourself.

note - I don't vouch for the accuracy of these tests. theres a lot of material on the site to wade through if you wanna investigate some more...

Being dark myself I thought I would have probably had no bias..

I guess I was wrong:

Did the black/white test - Slightly prefer white people.

Skin Tone - Strong automatic preference for light skin

:(

*sigh* may be going to a 'white' school for 12 years and being the only black kid in my year level for 10 made a difference...

i don't think it's anything to be ashamed of. A lot of it is due to social conditioning..you are a product of hte society we live in. So I wouldn't be surprised if an overwhelming number of us are slightly biased towards :

heterosexual
white
thin
male over female
 
did the sexuality and racial bias test, no hidden bias... so i guess i know myself? =D
 
Slight automatic preference for Arab/Muslim people.

Little or no automatic preference for Straight/Gay people.

Haven't done any others yet.

Very good test design though.

I got a slight preference for arab muslims, a strong preference for thin people, and little or no preference for either gay or straight people.
 
Strong preference for black people
Strong preference for dark skin
Slight preference for straight people
Moderate preference for thin people

All a bit surprising actually.

And most importantly

Strong preferece for Drum N Bass over Deap House. :)

that's interesting considering i've got very fair skin myself

I made too many mistakes :( :(

moderate preferance for muslim arabs

frankly, i dont think much of the test - i dont feel these reflect my feelings at all. i think the test design is really dodgy. kinda interesting to play with i suppose but i wouldnt put any stock in it.
 
well I was curious what the results would be if I did the test again

intially I had strong bias for gay people and then I took the same test again 18 hours later and my strong bias went down to slight automatic preference for gay people....so, I think the test is crap 8)
 
strong preference for straight. (Quite surprising)
Slight preference for non-muslim.
No preference for light/dark skin.
Slight preference for thin ppl.
Moderate preference for young ppl.

I knew I had a slight bias towards gay ppl but jeezus.......

all the others I could've predicted quite easily.....and infact did on the questions at the start of each test.
 
is it just me or are those tests really fricken hard?
i just couldn't coordinate anything.
and that body image one, fuck, by the end i was just so confused.8(
but yeh, i got a strong preference for thin people.

i think the point is to bewilder you so you actually do it subconsciously and stop your mind from correcting it
methinks the first couple of tests dont count
