any good Korean or Japanese movies???`

I just finished oldboy
and i also watched Ju-on 1 and 2

are there any movies like these u guys know about (like abstract/unique filmography) from Korea or Japan
if i could find any more i'd be so happy cuz these are like my favorite 3 movies.

not too interested in anime yet tho. just like, real movies.

As far as Korean films go, I really enjoyed Thirst.
Same director as Oldboy, with Kang-ho Song (the Korean guy who played the addict in Snowpiercer and the lead role in The Host).

It's a vampire flick, but it's fucking weird.
Sexual, funny and seriously disturbing.
Highly recommended.

I've heard Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is pretty good, too.
(Same actor, again, from Snowpiercer / The Host.)

As far as Japanese films go, the first thing that pops into my head is Brother by Takeshi Kitano.
It's a yakuza film, set in Los Angeles...
Pretty silly. Extremely violent.
I don't have much patience for traditional yakuza films.
The clash between Japanese and American gangster stereotypes is more fun.

loved thirst and the vengeance trilogy.

and japanese check out sion sono http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sion_Sono my fav from him are love exposure, cold fish, himizu, what don't you play in hell, and tokyo tribes

also on the japanese tip, i recently saw r100 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1410261/ )and symbol ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2914838/ ) weird and good.

takashi miike deserves a mention, visitor q, gozu, ichi the killer, audition

Anything by Kurosawa.

Ichi The Killer is a must see. I Saw the Devil is probably my favorite of recent years.
