BBC America is set to premiere its newest drama, Intruders, later this summer.

WATCH TRAILER: http://ow.ly/zFA3s

Starring popular British actor, John Simm (Life on Mars; Doctor Who) and Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite), Intruders is a paranormal series set in the Pacific Northwest with a plot centred around a secret society bent on discovering the secrets of immortality.

The eight episode series from writer and executive producer Glen Morgan (The X-Files), Intruders finds Jack Whelan (John Simm), a troubled former LAPD cop with a violent past and his wife, Amy (Mira Sorvino) who moved to the Pacific Northwest to enjoy a quieter, more idyllic life, which is shattered when she disappears.

This mystery deepens when Whelan’s high school friend, Gary Fischer (Tory Kittles: True Detective; Sons of Anarchy) appears unexpectedly, demanding help with a murder case. Initially reluctant, considering his energies are pretty much focused on finding his missing wife and all, Whelan realizes his past is tied to the killer, an assassin named Richard Shepherd (James Frain: Grimm; True Blood).

Shepherd sets out on a run of executions, including attempting to find and kill a nine-year-old run-away, Madison (Millie Brown) who, of course has secrets of her own. And all this has something to do with the secret society, Qui Reverti, the members of which who take refuge in other people’s bodies, because, you know, dying must really suck.

Intruders premieres Saturday, August 23 on BBC America

For those of you who have been watching:
So now that Intruders has finished it`s season/story arc, what are your thoughts on the show?
I started off really enjoying the plot and mystery of the who thing(minus Mira Sorvino. bad/weak acting on her part imo).
The secret society, the shepards, the rituals, all piqued my interest. I wish they would have explained the "Ghost Machine" a bit more though.
Over all I had a good time watching the show. Not the greatest show ever but it was ok.
(with the exception of Mira Sorvino. I know I already mentioned her,but damn it,I thought she was terrible.)
