Why hasn't it made it's way down here?
It's so popular overseas but I've heard nothing about it in Melb... :\

Vicodin combines a narcotic analgesic (painkiller) and cough reliever with a non-narcotic analgesic for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain.
opioid
1. Any synthetic narcotic not derived from opium. 2. Indicating substances such as enkephalins or endorphins occurring naturally in the body that act on the brain to decrease the sensation of pain.

As for why Vicodin isn't big here, well it isn't available here on prescription (as it is in the USA). Therefore, there is no local source to divert it from.

I guess when I asked 'why' it hasn't made it's way down here I meant- why is it not avaliable as a painkilelr here in Aus.. :)

Ohhh, well in that case, I guess because the pharmaceutical market is full of numerous opiate analgesics, available in multiple presentations (such as syrups, tablets, controlled release tablets, patches, and of course parenteral forms). Maybe the market is just saturated?
