Your Best Way of Tackling Comedowns

I was interesting in hearing peoples opinions of the best way of tackling comedowns. I would normally tackle a bad comedown with some bud, its sunday night and i cant get any bud so i decided to get ridiculously drunk, surprisingly i feel much better.
Whats your best way of dealing with a seriously bad comedown...?
please share your secrets!!!!
 
im sure this has been asked before so dont bother answering me, i think ill go to bed soon.
 
Best way is to take 5-HTP and sleep through it.
Yeah, it's the piker's way but it's the best way.
 
For speed comedowns (which in my opinion can be much worse than a pill comedown sometimes), I find the trick is to eat in the morning, and nibble throughout the day. A few pieces of fruit around 8:00 - 10:00, and some bread or biscuits for the duration of the day really make the difference between a bad comedown and an unbearable one. Then it's just a matter of waiting those two days until you can sleep properly again and it's all good!

Lately Ive 'resorted' to the bud. I hadn't smoked it for years until recently. Im re-finding the joys of it for comedowns

Usually we just stuck it out and tried to get on with life until we finally got to get some proper sleep. I must say the 'best' comedown was we all brought a few bourbon cans, sat down and slowly drank them and I made everyone listen to my broad general knowledge

I like have a photographic memory when it comes to general knowledge. I can relate to nearly every piece of information Ive read/seen. Such as, I read in grade 6 that a bone shaker was a bike invented around 1880 which had no pedals but people basically sat on it and pushed themselves along. Im a great source of semi-useless information. Did you know people who sleep an average of 7 hrs a day usually live longer. hehe.. So basically I say, a bit of alcohol or bud can go a long way to soothing those come downs.. Luckily I personally really dont get affected TOO much.. Hell, its monday morning and Im in awesome shape today..
 
the best way to get through a comedown is first of all admit it to yourself, and view it as the next stage in your entertainment. This truly works. Get a group of people who are good at coming down and sit around and chat, smoke some weed if there's the need, as thats always good. Just chat and giggle at your scatteredness. Showers are always great. If you're absolutely fucking DEAD tired, then I guess smoke some weed and go to sleep.
Yeah, basically because the 'excitment' of the pill/drug is over doesn't mean the fun is over.
Ohh and how could I forget the treatment procedure.
You will need:
- 5htp
- Echinacea
- multivitamin
- vitamin C
- cod liver oil (get it in a capsule)
- a good antibacterial mouthwash (it will burn but it will feel much better sooner & will help get rid of all those nasty bugs you picked up)
- rescue remedy if the need be
- Up & Go is great because often you really don't feel like chewing and eating but these will provide the sustanance you need in liquid form.
Most importantly keep a positive mind and enjoy the state the drugs have left you in.

I think Plague bearers response was perfect! I went out on the weekend, and we were standing outside the club, complaining about our comedowns...and "what do we do now" sorta thing, and we went back to a friends house, the boys smoked pot, and we sat around laughing at our sheer stupidity, the ridiculous crap coming out of our mouth..man it was the funniest come down ever. SHOWERS are the best best thing to have. I come home, have a shower, throw on my most comfy clothes, put on some cruisy music "cafe del mar" is a fav, and chill....good company always is a good remedy!

just came back from a pretty full on "recovery"
first back to a mates house for showers and vitamins (barocca, vit C, echinachea, ginko biloba, multi-vitamins, then lots of G and K

Then, a few mates got a house up in the mountains (twas a surprise) we then proceeded
to get completely twisted. Had another bicky, had more G and more K, then LOTS of nangs and a big PhAt spliff to finish it off. By the end of it all, we were all so goddamn wrecked that the only way to sleep was from Valium (godbless it)
Do i recommend it? yes... but not if u want to take the healthy way out

I think they key to dealing with your comedown is company. I used to just come home, try and sleep and end up spending the whole day totally bored with nothing to do. It was soooo depressing and made for a terrible comedown.
I've found spending the day with friends, just hanging and chilling is so much better.
 
I agree with Smiley. Choose your company and choons wisely, and the party doesn't ever have to stop!! Especially like Sunday...oh, the pain...
 
As someone who gets ugly comedowns, I find telling myself I'm mentally strong enough to handle it gets me through... If it's so bad I couldn't enjoy what I was doing anyway... If it's not that bad, I say to myself 'what are you whinging about? Remember that suicidal, terrible, shithouse comedown? This is nothing like it! Be thankful! And I forget I took the drugs in the first place and get on with things...

I find that if I have no commitments hanging over me that need attention soon after a night out then I get no real comedown. Having more than just a couple of days off to relax afterwards is the best thing. Going out on Friday night and then having to work on Monday for me is a sure way of ensuring a bad comedown. Two days just isn't good enough. Time is required to get over the Tuesday blues so just recently I've decided that I'd like to drop when I know I'll have at least five days of relative relaxation afterwards. Since it is rare to ever have five days or longer off from life's many responsibilites it is also a good way of guaranteeing that I will take extended breaks.
Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself here because I've just decided to take my first long break since starting with pills late last year. I could just be looking for justification so we'll see how I go. It sounds like a good plan i my mind though.

Does anyone get really bad psychological comedowns? I can deal with the physical tiredness but the paranoia can be fucken intense. For at least two days my mind feels heaps fuzzy. I get the hugest addrenalin, head rushes which scare the shit out of me and the slightest headache or phsical condition can render me a nervous wreak; which conveniently always seems to happen in the middle of a crowded lecture theatre - so i then tend to make a quite scene as i rush to get out. Plus, i start thinking a little too deeply and in general my thoughts begin to fuck with me even more.
Finally, getting to sleep after pilling can be qutie a task as i feel my body relaxing, i freak out that i feel too relaxed and will never wake up again, forcing myself to stay awake. Blah blah... more bad thoughts and paranoia.
Maybe i just need a stash of prozac...
 
5-htp is the short answer. I'm using it now for a range of things and it's great. Do a search for it becuase there's heaps of information here.
