Bracks distances himself from drug magazine
Source: AAP|Published: Thursday July 26, 1:39 PM

Victorian Premier Steve Bracks has distanced himself from a magazine published by a government-funded drug agency that tells drug users how to lie to police and enjoy good drugs.
The Herald Sun newspaper reported today that the articles appeared in the quarterly magazine Whack, published by VIVAIDS, also known as the Victorian Drug User Group.
VIVAIDS receives $600,000 a year from the Bracks government.
Mr Bracks says although the government funds VIVAIDS, it does not fund the publication Whack.
He says the publication is by subscription that the organisation undertakes, not public or government money.
Mr Bracks says he will ask the Department of Human Services to hold talks with VIVAIDS over better editorial control in the magazine.
The premier says the magazine is generally about preventing people from taking drugs but it also contains a couple of little tongue-in-cheek remarks.

Load universe into cannon. Aim at brain. Shoot.

Yeah, heard about this today.. what a disgrace - I mean, really.. how dare someone suggest that drugs could be _enjoyable_! This sort of satanic brainwashing should be squashed immediately, so the truth can prevail - drugs are bad, mmmkay?
[sigh]

Today a young man on acid realised that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration... that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively - there's no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves.. here's Tom with the weather!
