It really is a good read tho aint it. I knew that it wasn't the most harmful of substances that i take (the chemical being present in every single one of us) but i did not realise how much 'good' it can actually go.

What happened to the post in social? Yes it wasn't nescessary in there, but someone could have just posted a link to this thread, then closed it, it didn't have to be deleted straight away...
But yeah, people should be checking out this forum too, not just the social ones, so no exceptions, the guidelines are pretty clear...
Anyways, back to the FAQ... Very good read, but like Horsey said, its was kinda biased, and a lot like a couple of other ones that I've read (but I read a lot

)... I thought this one was good because it gave a good indication of the effects of larger doses, something I havn't seen much of...
One thing its missing is a mention of the dangers of confusing Na-GHB or K-GHB with GHB-OH (or 1,4B) ...Any GHB FAQ should mention them because that is where all the problems with G comes from... People don't die because they OD on GHB, they die because they OD on 1,4B, or they mix it with alcohol, or they spew and choke on it 'cos no-one is looking after them...

BTW, if erowid is anything to go by, then GHB isn't as safe as that article says... Don't get me wrong, I love GHB, but I don't want people to get complacent and think that they don't have to be careful...

Thanks for that one Happycamper. You've just finalised a decision for me. It did almost seem to say 'this is the drug that can do no wrong' but anyone reading that with a level head would realise that no drug (or should I say nutrient) is completely without risk. Fantastic find though.
 
Tarsarlan... you do have to remember though that this was an article/speech (?) given to a whole bunch of important ppl (government type) in support of GHB. The gov. (DEA etc) have been spouting bullshit and mis-information regarding drug use all this time so I don't see why this guy can't 'leave out' a few things about the negative side...

It wasn't intended as a usage guideline or anything.
But yeah good points though. It would of given him more credibility (in my eyes) if he had of gone into the interaction with CNS's a bit more but you gotta remember what it was originally for

I think the major negative they forgot to mention was the "throwing up whilst unconcious" thing (and choking). This, as far as i can see, is the only negative to the drug alltogether.
SO remeber... its all about putting your G'd out friend in the survival position (head back and down)...

the ONLY negative thing?
just going to add that 1-4 and GHB/GBL are both physically addictive, similar to alcohol ..... so yes, you can become physically dependent on G or 1-4
while there are lots of positives to this drug (IMFHO) it's important not to lose sight of its negative aspects too

ps *bump* is just something people write when they are bumping a thread back up to the top of the list - coz threads are ordered by most recent post, hence if you want a thread to be read/stay near the top of a forum people often bump it up
