Opioids sub>oxy>sub

i am on subutex

if i am using 2mg a day...

then get high on oxycodone, how long would i have to wait to redose the sub?

cuz i have heard that u dont need to wait 24 hrs if you're already stabalized on the bupe...

inputs? experiences?
 
in my *personal experience*.....if i am maintaining on a particular dose of suboxone, and i decide to get high off of heroin or oxy or some other full agonist, as long as I take my next dose of sub(after the full agonist) before the suboxone I had been taking previously had left my receptors, I will not have PW's when i redose. I believe this is because the suboxone never leaves my receptors and therefore there is no cause for me to go into PW's when I take sub again. But I believe this only works on low dose sub maintanence(like yours) so that you can dose a full agonist while you still have sub on your receptors.....making it possible for you to still have sub on your receptors when you dose bupe again.

Thats just my experience. You may respond differently. Proceed with caution.
