Hi, im sure we've all heard of people getting rushed to the emergency room, going into comas, and even dying at/after raves.

What causes this?

OD in mdma?
dehydration?
contaminated pill?

Agreed with Silent. Hyperthermia as well. Some people just don't take a break from dancing in the huge crowd for hours.

if you dont have kidney heart liver problems, overdose from MDMA only is almost impossible. Its like you can die after you eat avrage SALT(250g)(sodium chloride), if you drink 1-2L of vodka in 20 minutes you will be probably dead.

hm. i was at this festival and this guy was taken away on a stretcher and everyone was claiming he was over amped.. but idk. Then another guy was taken away but im not sure what happened to him. :(

The vasr majority if the time its unknown adulterants in the pills or the user combining things that they shouldnt be. Ive never seen anyone get taken away though.

Most people who end up in the ER after taking 'ecstasy' are suffering from drug induced anxiety/bad psychological reactions. Those people usually aren't in medical danger.

Among the people who do have a medically serious (even fatal) problem, most cases seem to involve severe overheating, which can be due to overdoses, fake/adulterated pills (PMA is particularly dangerous), or in some cases drug interactions (with either other recreational drugs or prescription medications.)

Other somewhat common causes of ER visits include hyponatremia (drinking too much water, which can be fatal), heartbeat irregularities and seizures.

Apparantly at this event it is normal for people to OD and get taken away in stretchers they have 3 ambulances outside and shit. was pretty epic

Most people are overreacting. If someone falls over and twists their ankle they call the ambulance to go the ER. Its laughable,

It's common practice, and most likely legally required to have a certain number of ambulances/EMT's per number of people attending ANY type of large event, so its normal to see a few ambulances parked outside of an event.

Another reason not mentioned above that people could be sent to the ER while rolling for is serotonin syndrome from mixing substances.
