its been a couple of months now, jakoz, psychokitten and yours truly have taken on the task of moderating this forum. we're almost a completely new team since pleo went on to turning admin.
knowing the nature of a thread like this, to pre-empt any flaming, we would appreciate it if:
comments stay on track and are constructive.
comments made are meant for all the mods (ie. if u have a problem with an individual, take it up with email).
what we are doing wrong, what u think can be improved on, what we shouldn't be doing. besides performing our mod duties, our conduct in threads.
naturally any suggestions for improvements are welcomed (actually make that mandatory ;) ).
understand that at anytime we can be emailed if there were any issues that need to be brought to our attention.
this is just a chance to let everyone have their say and hopefully shape the forum for the better.

I reckon we've had enuff of those perpertual threads...the forum gets stale when the same topic is discussed endlessly by the same people...can anyone see an end to the singles thread unless a mod says otherwise?
otherwise, I'm pretty happy ...except we need more boobies damnit.
 
I had a problem recently with one of the mods editing my post for what I saw to be no reason. After contacting them via email we were able to talk it out politly, and I found the mod in question to be very reasonable, and apologised when they discovered they had done wrong (by accident).
I think the mods are doing a great job, much praise to all (and huggles for those that will accept them ;) )

So, what are the hourly pay rates for you guys? Any fringe benefits beyond the midget porn? Right now I am only getting a paltry 30k per annum to mod CE&P, however my contract is up for re-negotiation at the end of this fiscal year. Perhaps I can get this broadband bill tax-deducted too...

I have had no issues/complaints, which means you guys are doing a great job, I'm difficult to please, as you all know I whinge a lot.... I don't really give a great deal of praise... but this is a rare occasion where it IS warranted :)
PROPS TO THE MODS!!!!!! THREE CHEERS!!!
(I think I had too much PLUR @ EC and it is still lingering...)

to be honest, some ppl would see the post your rack thread as wasting more space than the singles thread. I mean how many ppl have actually posted in there for the reason it was created? I don't have an issue with either thread and while I know there is a bit of crap in the singles thread there are also some worthwhile points brought up which are of interest to the single BLs.
Mods...you are doing a top job! can't think of anything right now that would improve the place.

the singles thread is up to it's 18th reiteration! I'm not making a comment on the content of the thread but rather the need for a essentionally 1800 posts on one topic!!! If it hasn't been said in 1000 posts, then it won't be said in the next 1000!
The boobies thread is up to it's 2nd version. We're not comparing apples to apples here. Anyways, if I have anthing to do with it, the boobies thread will live forever! :D

The singles thread is up to it’s 19th incarnation and it does actually harbour intelligent discussion on a broad range of topics, all relating to being single. Reading through the series there aren’t many (if any) subtopics that have been repeated. I used to like it; I don’t so much anymore (finally I understand where Pleo was coming from ;) ). However I don’t see it disappearing any time soon.
I think with the singles thread and other popular series threads, it needs to be a case of "If you don’t like it, don’t look at it". The forum may seem stale with the same threads being constantly bumped but inside them there is usually fresh material; the content isn’t stale.

Oh, by the way what is title under the displayed name,"Blue Light Crew" mean? I can't seem to locate it's description. 8)
 
"Bluelight Crew" is given to ex staff members... eg. ex mods, admins, etc.
It's our way of scarring people for life ;)

Other than that... Top Job! :) Any disputes that I have seen regarding mod decisions always appear to be sorted out in a very calm and rational manner, both when the poster or the mod were at fault. Its great to have mods who dont believe they are beyond reproach and are civil in their dealings with any issues that may arise. In my opinion you are doing a great job keeping the forum clean.

Well I think you guys are doing well.
Although I would expect it for the pay packet social mods get.
As thoth said, the rest of us get shit all... no holidays even.
Im starting a Mod union, to get better pay and better conditions for all the mods.
Except social... like you guys don't get enuff already ;)
