Nicotine and muscle mass

Helps burn fat but doesn't help or hinder muscle gain (apart from having to take the increase in metabolism into the equation for working out how much to eat).

Dosen't it constrict blood vessels/blood flow? Allowing less blood to reach the muscles; thereby hindering growth?

I have heard that it restricts blood vessels making it harder for the muscles to receive the nutrients they need to rebuild after a workout. I imagine that it might be okay to use nicotine at certain times without problems, but definitely not for a few hours or so after a workout. It does have stimulating effects which may help with trimming down. It seems that non tobacco forms of nicotine can be safely used for shaping the body, but I am sure there are better ways which are less likely to interfere with building muscle. Thanks for the replies.
