I haven't gotten acrylic nails put on in years and I was thinking about getting them since the holidays are coming up. I also wont be able to wear them for a year starting in January ( I'm starting nursing clinicals) so I kind of wanted to wear them for a few months because they look so nice! But the problem is my job requires me to wash my hands dozens of times a day and I read that if a gap forms between your natural nail and the acrylic, a bacterial infection could occur. With me washing my hands so many times a day i'm worried that it might not work out so well. So i'm just wondering if any girls out there wear acrylic nails and have any tips to prevent this :] thanks!
