Matt J. Whitworth, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that two motorcycle club members have pleaded guilty in federal court to their roles in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Kansas City, MO - infoZine - William Eneff, also known as “Muff,” 59, of Lee’s Summit, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Fernando J. Gaitan this afternoon to participating in a conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine between Jan. 1, 2002, and May 31, 2007.
Eneff, a member of the El Forastero Motorcycle Club, admitted that members of El Forastero and the affiliated Galloping Goose Motorcycle Club were required to annually pay dues and attend a certain number of motorcycle trips, known as runs, each year. On each run, the members were required to pay money that was pooled, or collected by each club charter, then forwarded to the specific Galloping Goose or El Forastero charter that hosted the particular motorcycle run in order to purchase methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. Those drugs were maintained in run bags, which were distributed to all club members that attended the run.
Eneff was released from prison in 2005 and resumed his membership with El Forastero upon his release. Eneff admitted that he paid his required dues and attended at least three runs between 2005 and 2007.
Michael Fitzwater, also known as “Holms,” 60, address unknown, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, to his role in the conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Fitzwater was a member of the Galloping Goose Motorcycle Club.
Seven additional members of those clubs have also pleaded guilty to their roles in the conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine: Donald Culey, also known as “Kooly,” 41, of Kansas City, Kan., and Robert L. Mays, also known as “Goose Rob,” 54, of Kansas City, Mo., Steven M. Street, also known as “Goose Steve,” 42, address unknown, Robert R. Peters, 52, of Kansas City, Kan., Gary Mickiewicz, also known as “New Yorker,” 59, of Blue Springs, Mo., Michael Hensley, also known as “Joe Poke,” 43, address unknown, and Donald Street, also known as “Donnie,” 36, of Edwardsville, Kan. Each of the defendants admitted that, as active members, they participated in the distribution of between 500 and 1,500 grams of methamphetamine. That amount is based on 20 runs over a five-year period, with each run involving the distribution of at least one ounce (28 grams) of methamphetamine.
Under the terms of today’s plea agreement with Eneff, the government and the defendant agree to request a sentence of seven years in federal prison without parole. Fitzwater is subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison without parole, up to life in federal prison without parole. Sentencing hearings will be scheduled after the completion of presentence investigations by the United States Probation Office.
