In 2003 the tradition continues. The "Fresh" series now has last for 6 years and has outlasted any of other our series oriented events. The vibe at the "Fresh" events has always been just that: eager anticipation, excitement, funky fun, and a return to an energy not felt at most clubs or one offs these days. The Fresh series, ironically enough has always marked a turning point for us. Fresh in 1997 marked the end of our truly "underground" events in skate parks for the most part. Refresh in 1998 marked the beginning of us seeing larger turnouts and really proved that we had a grip of what the masses wanted. Fresh Start in 2000 was elebrating a new millenium for us, as well as the approaching birth of my son Zachary. In 2002 So Fresh & So Clean was the culmination of 5 years of work bringing the Fresh vibe to its ultimate pinacle. Now in 2003 we take you one step further. With the launch of Columns of Knowledge Recordings in 2003, as well as some welcome additions to the COK dj roster, we feel it's definitely time to bring the "Fresh"ness back to the party! The next chapter is now...feel the funk! Peace, Columns family '03!
MAIN ROOM-"THE FRESHMAKA'S"
DONALD GLAUDE *Moonshine, Seattle*
Get your fuckin' hands UP! Donald Glaude has cemented his reputation as a crowd-rocking favorite and one of the most in demand artists in the country. He exudes energy, dropping track after funky track, arms aloft, and has been known to join the dancers on the floor. Off The Hook was Donald's first mix for Moonshine Music which displays Donald's own inimitable style, displaying the skills and energy that have made him one of the most exciting DJs to emerge in recent years. In between releases and the demands of his rigorous touring schedule, Donald has been concentrating his efforts on producing singles, such as "Soul Cha Cha" and "To The Soul", both of which can be found on his latest Moonshine effort, "Mixed Live". In early 2001, Donald launched Respect Recordings. Donald's dynamic, animated and energized persona definitely categorizes him as the "must see" talent. Not only is Donald dedicated to his craft, it is his amazing ability to connect with the crowds that makes his sets transcend mere mortality.

THE badHUMAN TOUR: featuring DIESELBOY w/ MC J-MESSINIAN and BAD COMPANY UK
*Official Cd release event: Bad Company UK: Shot Down On Safari available on HUMAN/System Recordings 1/28/03*

For Dieselboy it's one red hot tour after another; be it Planet of the Drums with his co-pilots Ak1200 and Dara, or his Area 2 stint with Moby this year to now this project with his longtime friends from overseas. Global appearances have made him "America's most in demand dnb dj". Fresh and Vegas of Bad Company' share the spotlight as one of drum and bass's most exciting new production teams and DJs; the hottest new production team on the block according to Dj Magazine. 2003 shows them building on the success of their previous material with a new spate of upbeat and daring releases on the label.

MISSTRESS BARBARA *Relentless, www.relentlessmusic.com, Canada* Special 3

1st ever Columns appearance! In the spring of 1996 she got her first booking and hasn't looked back since, playing all the major cities in North America as well as Hong Kong, Philippines, Germany, UK, France, Brasil and soon to dominate the rest of Europe, Asia, and Australia. In just four years of DJing, she's played alongside artists such as Masters at Work, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, and many others. Misstress Barbara's various music tastes brought her to play many important North American clubs such as Twilo *NYC*, Velvet Underground *London*, Sona *Montreal*, Industry *Toronto*, Aloca *Sao Paulo*, just to name a few. She likes to describe her main style as "drummy funky pumpin' techno" and her typical hard beats have always been the driving force in her music and have always come first. She runs two separate labels from the same source - her company, Energia Productions. Bangin' techno and house done properly.

Now, at the close of 2002, we see Todd getting ready to release "Dubplate Selection: Volume 2" on the CHE label once again, this time with assistance from Downbeat Productions, a CT based Drum N bass label that Todd and Josiah have joined within the last few months. This CD will be different, for Josiah will not only be included in some surprising facets, but it will debut a hip hop track from Josiah's upcoming hip hop release "Master Communication" that Todd is executive producing. Downbeats sister label, Terpsichore, recently released Todds first vinyl offering "CH’I" B\W "Early Morning Blues". This CH’I, an absolute amen smasher that has garnished the praise of UFO!, Submerged, Static and Odi has been being rinsed out on dubplate all over the east coast for the past year. "Early Morning Blues" which has received props from DB, is a mellow and melancholy tune that has some brilliant vocals in it, as well as a unique and complex drum pattern. id just like to point out the fact that every sick party, starts out with the thread for it being closed because of too many posts well before the party is even near. :D
well im ready.

whoa ive been outa the action
FWC????????
FWC IN DA HOUSE?
are you kidding me????????
i second the uconn motion cuz my man goes there & some of us can rage there after (or at least sleep)
particularly chrissie&buzzy---If you guys don't have a place to go after & that is the difference between going or staying
PLUS- do you have room in your car if i get to stamford?
OR
is anyone driving up from the city?
PLUS
jen- is the reason why you are not going b/c of the need for a ticket?
allright ready for question-answering time
BREAK

ok, what UCONN notion? both j22 and i live in dorm rooms (and i have a rommmate, who probably wouldn't be thrilled with having smelly Assylum-infected ravers passed out all over our room) and have NO space. if anyone that goes to uconn (or lives near it) has an apartment, that might be a different deal... (that and my RA gave us a speech at this dumb-ass floor meeting about signing in overnight visitors and not having too many kids in one room {fire hazard and such})
it'd be cool to have everyone crash in the same place, but it looks like there's so many kids comin it won't happen unless we do the hotel thing, and i for one am WAY too broke for that.
but we always figure something out. so i'm not too worried.

well, if oopsz is indeed coming, then we have me luke crow batty and oopsz in the car... and thats more than full. we're all gonna get a bit friendly on the ride up, lol. if you need a ride maybe i can bribe tyson to come to our place first, so we can even out the car situation. ill talk to him tonight :) i miss you shafie!

What if we got adjoining hotel rooms and all crashed on beds/floors/couches, etc.?

^^ AGREED! Although all future afterparty talk should probably be taken to Chrissie' messageboard, as suggested in the first thread. But yes, two adjoining hotel rooms would be ideal, and incredibly cheap. I'm keeping a running list of who's going to this, and trust me... if we all chipped in, two hotel rooms would be about $10 each lol.
And Jen, I second (or third, or something) everything Lauren said... *wipes a tear away* you don't wub us anymore? :(
So are we there yet? :)
Peace ~Katie

Jen, my dear, if *I* am going to (try my hardest to) make it out to this party, I better see your sweet ass there!!!
- Mella

besides my car is really not gunna like a 4hr drive in the cold/ice/snow.. she's old and bitter... :( so if did go...ccould anyone help me out with that?
and having good info on what's going on after would be cool too... i hate feeling like im mooching or like im dropping my fat ass into ppls rides/homes for the sake of a party =oT
I would realy love to see u guys too... besides. i need to be there.. sober and with the camera as always ;) :p
U guys are such bad influances :p :D
