The cast looks amazing:

George Clooney - Harry Pfarrer
Frances McDormand - Linda Litzke
Brad Pitt - Chad Feldheimer
John Malkovich - Osbourne Cox
Tilda Swinton - Katie Cox
Richard Jenkins - Ted Treffon

So so excited to see Frances McDormand in another Coen film. :)

I know nothing about this. Will watch the trailer later.

oh yeah
i'm there

although the slapstick looks hammed up a bit much

Aww I love their slapsptick. It's so cartoony. Raising Arizona couldn't have been more hammed up. :)

I liked the preview. Thanks for posting the link. I love the Coen brothers normally, and this looks like a great movie, but I have problems with Brad Pitt. I can't watch him. I guess it's just too much for me. Every time I go into the grocery store or quick mart, I see his face on the cover of magazines with his wife and I'm tired of him. Too much Brad Pitt in the world for my tastes.

lol agreed but he looks pretty good in this and the film just looks great in general. we will have to endure him!

although pitt began as a pretty boy, he has been in a LOT of good stuff. i seem to have heaps of his films on dvd.

as an actor, he has a pretty good range.

I don't want to say much else and risk getting spanked for getting off topic. I used to like Brad Pitt. I just got tired of him. The movie looks great though. I wish they had used someone besides him.

+1

I think he's a pretty decent actor.

Anyway, film looks good. :)

dude, BP is tight. not only does he have descent range as an actor, but he is also choosy about his projects (which i think is the main contributor to his success).

besides 'troy' (which still had its moments) and 'the mexican', i can't think of bad Brad Pitt movie.

^i'd love for the rumours to pan out with pitt in a role in quentin tarantino's upcoming WW2 flick "inglorious bastards".

back to topic, i'm excited by this entire cast.

^^
I don't know. I can't picture Pitt reciting Tarantino's dialogue. He pulled off the stoner roomie in True Romance, but it was such a bit part that it didn't really matter. All in all, his acting style is far more natural and unforced than Tarantino's typical writing usually allows.

Gah I have such a hard on for Tilda Swinton, I can't wait! I think I am changing my tune about Pitt as well, he looks like he is going to be really funny in this.
