Has anyone else seen it? Not many people have. For those who haven't its basically a movie/doco/porno based on the life and times of Ancient Rome's nuttiest emperor Caligula. I got the unrated full 156min verson of it. It took for years to make and Penthouse magazine Bob Guchione had involvement with it. The movie isn't for everyone, you wouldn't show your grandmother it. The sex scenes are highly explicit and times uncomfortable but on the same hand highly arousing because of the factuality of it all. It stars Malcolm McDowell the same guy from Clockwork Orange, he does a good job I thought becasue its a pretty intense role to play and even though he is a great actor and all I can see why almost all production studios never wanted to have him in their films again, he would be forever tied to this role. Some notable scenes are of a bunch of male servants to an imperial woman ejaculating (real) into a bowl that she is holding, the lesbian tryst in the secret room, and the imperial bordello scene. There are too many dirty things to note but some are borderline outrageous for instance when Caligua rapes his friends new wife to see is she is a virgin, which she turns out to be and the friend is made to watch, the scene has some blood involved but I will let you guys figure out the rest. The movie is an experiance as opposed to a "movie". If you like history and your not easily offended I highly recommend it, history is history. For all who have seen it what did you think?

Admittedly, I was really drunk when I saw it, but not so drunk that I couldn't recognize it as absolute crap. Nonetheless, I am glad I've seen this notorious bit of cinema history.
