I watched this years ago and it was definitely one of the weirdest movies I'd ever seen in my life (and I don't mean that in a good way). It took me like half-way through the movie to realize that it actually wasn't a black comedy (I thought it was filled with sorry attempts at humor).

The only thing that kept me watching was Jennefer Connelly :\

I remember watching this through a haze of ganja smoke, pill glow and ket fractals, but I distinctly remember sitting in Ice Cubes' dorm, passing a blunt and talking about "crackas" and "hoes".

I'd watch it again.... but only because the Cube owes me 20 bucks.
 
it has been years since i saw it, but i remember liking it!

but then again, i also love armageddon.
 
I actually like John Singleton, and I remember watching this more than a decade ago and liking it....but subsequent viewings thereafter (this bomb gets shown on cable all the time) make me just cringe and laugh at the absurdity of it all. I have the soundtrack tho, and I love it (especially Tori Amos "Butterfly" and Liz Phairs "Dont have Time"....

PS. Seeing Tyra Banks emote and "act" is fucking hilarious.

I remember that this movie got a lot of good buzz when it came out. For my part, I thought it was all right. Grossly overrated and melodramatic, but all right.
