this mockumentry is freakin brilliant.
Sacha had done an impressive job turning the 5 minute Borat skits into a full length feature, while he covers familiar ground, it still manages to make you squirm in your seat and laugh like a madman.

im really interested in hearing how this is receives in america....

I've seen a few of his Borat skits from about two years ago, and I recently saw him do a few award shows (MTV I think)... but I gotta say, he died on his fucking arse.

Mmmmmyeah... I just don't 'get' it. :D

It's funnier when someone unintentionally dies on their arse while actually trying to be funny. I've seen tonnes of shitty comics who get on stage and just fucking divebomb... someone failing miserably on stage has an element of humour.

So pretending to be crap seems a bit redundant to me. But yeah, I have to admit, I'm pretty slow when it comes to Cohen's humour.

Borat:The Movie

I just saw a prescreening of this tonight... great movie, especially if you like the show!!

We even get a 10 minute scene where Borat and his fat ass producer are chasing each other through a hotel and wrestle each other, and stay in 69 position for about 2 minutes. We even get fat man face sitting Borat...so those with the face sitting fetish, look out!!

Overall I really enjoyed the movie, although I thought perhaps 90 minutes of the sketch was a bit much, he managed to make it work. Definately worth checking out if you are fond of Da Ali G Show, and are not easily offended =D

you aren't the only one. i was really looking forward to his show after hearing so much about it, and when i finally got it, i just kept thinking, when does it get really funny. i mean, it wasn't bad, just wasn't great.
 
Just watched the Reel Comedy special for this movie on Comedy Central and it looks hilarious. Not sure if it was in the film but they showed a scene where Borat has a male masseuse come up to his hotel room....and thinks he should get a "happy ending"...can't wait for friday!!!:D:D

I agree 100% ... I don't find Borat amusing. Ali-G on the other hand was 100% class :)
