three of these movies have something in common and one is the odd one out.

mystic river
training day
the insider
gladiator

which is the odd one out and why? get it right, start the next one.

training day, it's the only one i haven't seen :)
or gladiator, the one not happening at our time

maybe not what you had in mind

vanilla sky
true lies
point of no return
angel heart

edit : changed one to get an even more precise common point

vanilla sky - in all the others, there is a character with a double life?

The Insider. The other three movies all won Oscars for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Or maybe just that The Insider didn't win any Oscars despite being nominated for a whole bunch?

Is that it?

Okay this is a real easy one:
Which is the odd one out?

Heat
Serpico
Donnie Brasco
Goodfellas

not sure, haven't seen serpico

mine was angel heart
the other ones are american remakes of european movies

Al Pachino wasn't in Goodfellas?

The Big Lebowski
Armageddon
Final Fantasy: The spirits within
Pulp Fiction

(this one is a little harder (i think)

You Only Live Twice
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Bye Bye Birdie
Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)

^^
I don't have an answer, but I'll point out that its cosmically unfair that you got mine so fast. :p

Everything except Bye Bye Birdie had a screenplay written by Roald Dahl (sp?)

Damn CC. I bow to your superior knowledge!

How about this:

Trainspotting
Stand By Me
The Descent
First Harry Potter

Which is the odd one out and why?
Just realised, there are two odd ones out there for different reasons (there is an odd one out for one reason then start again and find another odd one out for another reason)

Steve Buscemi, and he dies in every film but Pulp Fiction. :D

hey, don't forget he also lived to grab the cash at the end of Reservoir Dogs. didn't he also live in Fargo?

I always thought Steve Buscemi had a character that was more sneaky and behind-the-scenes than the other "gangster" type characters in those movies. kinda like, the cockroach is the only animal that would survive a nuclear halocaust...
