So triple j and making a complication of a weekend where they play a bunch of sets from the bands they have got recorded live.

Im a knob and forgot to open this over the last 2 weeks, so you only have today for vote.

It was really hard to bring that set down to a few bands, there were so many epic sets like the Nirvana/Pearl Jam/Smashing Pumpkins/Jeff Buckley sets...

but i just had to go with most of the stuff i have been at, and would LOVE to hear again...

going to be a stay-in weekend i think just chilling to the J's :D
 
yeah, i really hope they play the pearl jam one, because i was there and had a tape of it, but lost it some years back :(

chemical brothers and underworld would be pretty fucking sweet too. i love triple j :D
 
The chem bros one, if is the one im thinking of is when they did the BDO a few years back... from sydney, when the boiler room was this little fuckin room (compared to what it is now) and fuck it was good, my first festival, fuck i had a good time...

okay, i'm thinking - are there going to be many people listening to this? if there are, perhaps everybody could try a bit, then we could all make copies and in the lovin' friendly spirit that only a website full of drug addicts can inspire, we could send them to each other?

i should be right to get most of the sunday stuff, and maybe some of the saturday, but i'm definitely not going to be around friday night. hopefully we can work this out?

i'll post again later (if anyone's interested in doing this - am the only one who obsesses about taping live sets? :D) when i've got a better idea of what i can tape.

I'd do some taping but the reception I get here is a bit ordinary :( Which really fucking shits me, especially on a weekend like this. This is going to be so good :D

Pity Smashing Pumpkins are on at midnight, thats way past my bed time :( ;)

I'm heaps keen to hear At the Drive-in :D
 
can't someone just get a shitload of speed and stay up the whole weekend taping it? ;)
 
^ Sure! But as if I needed an excuse to take a shit load of speed! =D ;)


But I have no money and therefore can't afford any speed till next week:(
 
i'll see if i can rig something up with my computer and a receiver. might be able to get em all on the pc raw if someone can suggest a program

Sam mentioned something about that last night when we were listening to deep dish through their website...
 
i wouldnt stream it off the net - i can hook up a stereo to my pc and record through line in
could also stream it i guess
 
you'll want to record it directly from a radio reciever, the Internet transmission is compressed and sounds crap. Any input recording program would do..
 
Grrr, I've got the gear to do this (did it with Coldplay after Splendour '03) but I'm in Sydney all weekend.
