I can't wait for this movie to come out too, J. although some hated on 1000 Corpses, I loved it and I think Rob Zombie won't fail to deliver on this one.

I've heard the carnage will resemble much of the first movie, but instead of that crazy family picking on dorky just-graduated-highschool-types, they will be against the police force. so in other words, they have a chance to fight back.

the basic plot line is one of the murdered cop's relative (who is also a cop) wants to find the crazy family and seek revenge. cool!

Devil's Rejects

It opens July 22 on the US east coast. I hope not to be disappointed. We waited long enough! I thought House of 1000 Corpses was fucked up brilliance.

satan's rejects

please search, and add a poll

i hope it has the same zombie styling

looks promising... i'll definitely watch this at some point. i'll wait for some reviews before i go to the theater to see it though.

sorry to memberate but I believe there already are a couple threads about this movie.

it looks real bad ass, I read this one review and he went crazy on kudos comments about Zombie's directing. how he finally found his own niche, and even compared him to great modern directors of our time.

I am looking forward to it mostly because I have heard instead of simply mutilating some dumb ass teenagers they actually have a challenge going up against the armed-to-the-teeth vengeful cops.

the reviews ive read seem positive thus far..from the traiers ve seen this movie looks prety good..it looks like a throwback to the 70s style TCm type genre..i am praying that this movie kicks my ass cuz the horror genre is crappy as of late...

axl is correct, this movie seems like it will break new ground in that it isnt about a group of crazy rednecks killing wimpy teens, this time its a case of evil vs evil...crazy serial killers vs a bunch of mean bounty hunters...they say after watching a little thru that you dont know who you should be rooting for..sounds like my type of flick..

aw, BA... thanks. damn, and i'm usually one to search for threads that seem familiar and post the link. blah. sorry about that.

can't wait for this one to come out - i really like 1000 corpses - but zombie was always cool and freaky so it should be good

This movie looks thoroughly bearable. For what it was, Rob Zombie did a good job with House of 1000 Corpses.

I wasn't all that impressed with House, but it was enjoyable none-the-less. I'm excited about some of the same actors being in this one too.

House, in my opinion, was everything a good gore movie should be: A fucked up redneck family, a huge deformed member of the family(i.e leatherface, tiny), good gritty, slow motion type footage, and lots of torture. And Zombie is a damn good actor.
I've got this one marked on my calender:)

I honestly do not know what is wrong with people that enjoy movies like this. What is so entertaining about such graphic human mutilation? House of 1000 Corpses was not scary, it was gross and psychotic. Why would you want to see another movie filled with this nonsense?

^^
I liked house of 1000 corpses cause I think movies like that are funny. I love Rob Zombies inane sence of homous and I like the way his brain works.

I find his movie fasinating and funny.

2oclockbeanfiend, I always wondered why I like movies like this. In reality, blood makes me squemish, hell I definitely could NOT be a nurse. It's just neat to see special effects like that. And it's not that disgusting, I don't ever feel sick watching these type movies.

Anyone see this yet? I will prolly se it tonight. The critics actually gave this a really good review: an A- ; which is really good reassuring, considering the fact that House got a D, and I thought that movie rocked!

Oh, and there is nothing wrong with me at all, thank you very much. What kind of movies do you like? Preferences are like assholes, every one's got one.

^ I'm in to all sorts of movies, including horror, but House of 1000 Corpses was just too much for me. Way too much. It's one thing to be scared, it's another to be plain grossed out. I don't think I've ever actually gotten sick from watching a movie, but if any one could do it, it would be House of 1000 Corpses. And I know I keep mentioning the first movie, but I'm sure this one will be no different. I would expect that it will be even worse (more gross) though, considering how much people liked the first one.

So yea, I was kind of quick to judge. But of the friends I have, the ones that enjoyed that movie are definetely the ones that I would say have a screw lose or two. Enjoy your movie.

have you considered that there's actually nothing wrong with people that enjoy movies like this?

perhapss it simply fulfils some visceral need to be reminded of and/or confront our own mortality from the safety of a theatre seat? or any one of another 1000 reasons...
