thats right, its back just in time for easter.... 'a new version for a new audience'

it has been cut down by six minutes and has a 15 instead of 18 certificate rating (better on the brutality and violence)
gibson/disney is hoping to bring in the people that did not see the orginal because of the excessive violence and graphic nature.
the camera angles have been changed to show less blood during the torture and crusifixion which they hope will highlight jesus' scarifice over his suffering.

did this really need to be done? well , maybe.

Rant

The Pa$$ion of the Chri$t.

Just kidding--I did like this movie, in a weird masochistic way. I wouldn't watch it cut though; I mean, that's just offensive. ;)

Well, at least it looks like his hope of broadcasting it uncut on the major networks fell through.

The excessive violence was the only thing that made Mel "God Boy" Gibson's movie watchable.

On seconds thoughts, no it didn't. It was still crap...
