checking this flick out thursday at a free screening, it's Jared Hess' first time helming a feature, i haven't seen his short Peluca either but i've heard good things... the trailer/ads i've seen look really good, seems to be along the whole solondz/anderson vibe of the geeky teenager hero. anyone checked this out yet? i'll update after i watch it thursday.
 
just watched this tonight, and it is the funniest movie i have seen in a long time... i'm definitely picking this up on DVD down the road... if i'm sober enough saturday morning, i get to meet Pedro- one of the supporting actors at a cinema in columbus for the second free screening... i got lots of free stuff at the screening as well, buttons, chap stick, and a t-shirt... w00t!
 
i will definitely watch this. it seems to appeal to my retarded side and that is most DEF entertaining :D
 
Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. So fucking funny. It just goes to show, you don't need a 120 million dollar budget to make a great, entertaining movie.

Delightfully funny and ridiculous. After seeing it I learned that it was written by mormons, and that is the reason there are no serious swear words. A PG movie that appeals to 18+ movie is pretty rare, but Napoleon Dynamite is sheer comedic genius. I recommend it to anyone who thinks they have a sense of humor.

A favorite quote:

"Yeah its pretty much my favorite animal"

I gave one that wont spoil anyting but makes the people who have seen it laugh. There are so many brilliant one liners from that movie.
 
this is my fave movie this year... i plan to be kip for halloween- the blinged out kip with the eagle.

9.5 out of 10...i thought it was the funniest movie I prolly ever have seen. I
 
hilarious fucking movie, great to watch on drugs, the more the better, my favorite character, even though they were all great, had to be napoleon's uncle who would film himself throwing football's.
 
saw it today (for free, no less). This comes with atlas's highest reccomendations if you're a fan of more sedated humor. There are only a few "jokes" that would get laughs in a movie like "There's something about Mary", but this film had the entire theater laughing out loud almost non-stop.

Oh, and wait for the scene after the credits, its worth it. We were about to leave once we saw the legalese at the end, and the "color by delux" logo when some employees stopped us. Thanks, you nameless, red-vested wage-slaves! =D
 
Just saw it today. I forgot to stay and watch the new added part. :(

Nonetheless, it was fantastic! Many of the parts reminded me of middle school... and not in the typical nasal "fast times.." sort of way either. Thumbs WAY UP.
 
Saw the actor on "The View" today (yes I watched the view)

Kudos to him for keeping it PG and keeping true with his faith.
You often don't see that in Hollywood these days. He deserves some respect and props for that. I will be seeing this soon!
