Is it ok to carry E-Testers with you overseas?

this mite be a silly questions, but i was wondering if i would encounter any difficulties in carrying my e-tester with me whilst going on over-seas trips?..
i guess that if u do carry one ur basically asking the customers officers to search thru ur stuff...so it mite be better to buy one when i get to my destination...what countries would it be illegal to have it in?

only country i know where it is illegal is Norway.
