film: Blade: Trinity

Summary:

As an apocalyptic event takes place that could shift the control of the planet Earth from the hands of humanity to the claws of vampires, the Daywalker, Blade (Snipes) is the only person who can turn the tide of the crisis against the undead blood suckers and prevent the world from becoming a "Planet of the Vampires". To make things a lot harder for Blade, the vampire leadership launches a public relations "smear campaign" against Blade, letting the world of humans know that he exists, so that the police start hunting him down, thinking he is some sort of horrible monster...

I cannot wait for the 3rd film in the Blade series (one of my favorites). It'll be out on December 8th, 2004.

Yay for (good) vampire movies! :)

I am also looking forward to this movie very much. I hope that the music in this one is as good as it was in the previous two, especially the music in the first film. On another note, I think that they got Jessica Biel and Ryan Renolds so that they can spin off into their own blade film/films.

I'm really looking forward to this one, though I dread the curse of "second sequel" films...

What I'm wondering is why they haven't introduced Hannibal King into the series--he's the vampire detective whose role was so crucial in the original comic book series.

I thought one was good, two was EXCELENT.....

the soundtracks are also top-notch I can't wait to see this =D

I haven't read the Blade comic books. Are they worth getting? If so, I might have to invest. ;)

wooo hooo!!

I just watched both of them recently, got me in the mood for this. :)

Keystroke -

That is odd, I thought one was excellent and two was excruciating.

I hope the third makes up for it... seeing poorly made cgi cartoons do wrestling moves on each other again is not something I would take easily.

Actually I would take it easily...

I would sit back, slurp my frozen coke and eat some popcorn. Sigh a little. Then bitch about it on a drug message board.

But regardless I would be pissed :)

I thought one was one of the best vampire movies ive seen and 2 was pretty good but nothing compared to the first....

I hope 3 wont let me down

well just to play the game, i thought one sucked and two was great....but i think i may not have been "in the mood" for the first one, since these movies are right up my alley.

I don't think Blade originally had his own comic...I'm pretty sure he was just a regular character in the Marvel series "Tomb of Dracula", which ended sometime in the 1980s. I have a T.O.D. issue from 1974, but it's only in fair to good shape; I doubt I'd get 50 cents for it. :/

Here's a great link with more info on the series:

I liked the first one, but I couldn't stand the second. Don't see what everyone liked about it.

i saw the trailer to this at the movies the other day and it really doesn't look like it'll be any good. Jess Biel is a hottie though, perhaps the only positive i can find ;)

Wasn't Blade part of the Midnight Sons with Morbius, Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze and Doctor Strange?

Just got back from seeing Blade: Trinity tonight and all I can say is that I am deeply and utterly disapointed. I am also a bit shocked - I really, really liked the first two movies and even said to myself going into the theater that there was no way they could fuck up a story with a character as cool as blade. Well, they most ceertainly did.

I am too tired (but mostly too pissed off) to write much more, but honestly...what the fuck??? How could they have not gotten a better script and spent the time/money they needed to make this final installment all that it deserved to be? The multiple attempts at injecting cheap humor throughout the film were pathetic as well. It's been a while since have heard so many people leave a theater mumbling about how crap the film was.

Anyway, I wont say save your money and don't see it but definitely don't expect to be as entertained as you were with the first 2. :(

I'm probably going to see it on Saturday night. So I'll report back after that.

I've heard the reviews are pretty bad though. :(

EDIT: Due to the very shitty reviews, I think I'll wait for it on DVD. Maybe I'll go see "Meet the Fockers" instead.

Word on the street is that Snipes isn't doing any promos for the film. If that isn't an admission of how much this movie SUCKS, I don't know what is.

Damn, I am still pissed!:X :X :X :X :X

they had started writing a script and making this movie before Blade 2 even hit theatres in 2002.....

how pathetic
