Arrrgh! what the %&#% are they getting at?!?! - lucky it wasn't a person to person survey coz I would have smacked em out.

its done like that on purpose. its to weed out answers to questions you dont read properly.. a lot of statistical questionaires are like that...

Which country do you live in?

that's the same question asked 5 times, in general there's about 10 questions stretched over about 60, I nearly threw my computer out the window, but I can understand what you mean johnboy.

they are controlling for all kinds of things - the tendency for people to give the answer they think the researcher wants, the fact that questions can be ambiguous and have more than one subtle meaning, what is understood from reading the question can be altered by what was in the previous question.
i know that i answered differently on some almost identical questions, mostly because the wording seemed to infer a slightly different meaning.
i know its tedious, but it means they're doing the job right

Yeah, I loved the one asking how many times I plan to take it in the future! Well, let me see......if I got out an average 2 times a month, for the next ? years......then I will do ecstasy about........
There should have been an option saying 'as many times as possible!'
