Did anyone catch this new show on Fox last night? It is about 2 guyswho, after making millions from an online business (they had a travel website that was sold to expedia.com) they decide to invest in a Las Vegas casino, namely The Golden Nugget.

To tell you the truth, I thought most of it was staged. I cant stand reality shows anyway, but was semi-interested because it involved Las Vegas.

Anyone?

Big Chucky found himself a man partner! Hillarious shit.

I think this program would be better suited on cable, then they could show nudity, like the whipped cream bikini and chit.

Big Chucky was just an obnoxious prick. Im glad he found himself a nice man.

I didn't watch The Casino, but saw most of American Casino on the Discovery Channel over the weekend. It's a reality show about a casino that is definitely not on the Strip. The place almost looked like an Indian casino. The show was suprisingly watchable (unlike Mythbusters), and included casino staff drama, drunken brawls, and food service mishaps. I think last week was only the second episode.

From the Discovery Channel web site...

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas ... until now, that is.

Welcome to American Casino, the 13-part series that lifts the curtain on the day-to-day operations of the Green Valley Ranch Resort, Casino and Spa, a 450,000-square-foot lavish property and destination for celebrities, high rollers and locals alike.

Not surprisingly, running a $3 billion casino company is anything but a game of chance for Frank Fertitta III and his brother Lorenzo. Still in their 40s and 30s respectively, the two are the chief officers and principal shareholders of Station Casinos, of which Green Valley Ranch is a part. American Casino follows the Fertittas and their "team members" as they handle the volatile demands of their round-the-clock business — everything from the creation of extravagant banquets to the breaking up of fist-fights to the pampering of high rollers.

It's not an easy feat: As its name implies, Green Valley Ranch is more than just a casino. Its many amenities include a luxury hotel, a spa, multiple restaurants and bars, promotional events such as slot tournaments, and a wide variety of guest services, all of which require the coordinated efforts of a dedicated and passionate behind-the-scenes staff. The result? Story lines as diverse and entertaining as the family-run Green Valley Ranch itself.

I watched American Casino as well and I thought that that was a much better reality based show. I enjoyed watching the workings of casino.

I watched it last night on fox & have spent most of today thinkin about it. That show is badd ass & I really enjoyed it. Lots of different aspects in the show..........the lounge singer vs the corperate partner...............the pro gambler picking up the guy...........& of course the first time vegas hotel rookies taking on the grand task of running the golden nugget. This show is gonna be huge just like everything else Mark Burnett does.

I saw it - and I enjoyed it. I love shows about Vegas and casinos!! :)

It was hilarious - i definitely plan on watching it again, I even saw Chuck's identical twin today! :) I found him funny - at least he admitted who he was and didn't deny it, it was definite entertainment.

I hope the show succeeds - i am very interested in Vegas nightlife!

I know and love Las Vegas...

I hold Las Vegas in a special place in my heart...

That show was the fakest, most staged pile of dogshit I have ever seen.

The girl that was upstairs taking pictures and downstairs gambling name is Tracy and she runs napkinnights.com.... The show contacted her and some friends to be in on and "support" their little lame story lines...

The show is horrible...

As I mentioned before, I definitely thought a lot of it was staged, so what djsnaz is not too surprising.

Aww, really?

That sort of bums me out. I guess i didn't look at it in that light.

I sort of thought that it could be staged.. but not THAT much.

Staged or not I find the show very interesting & enjoyable.

Shall be watching %)

I said the same thing when I watched it. It just seemed scripted. But it might be interesting anyways. Better than reruns.
