What does breaking a light globe have to do with drugs?

I'm just wondering, and if this needs to be moved to another forum, so be it.

I saw a dodgey looking car stop at the curb of a street and the occupants appeared to be smashing a light globe - inside a towel.

They then appeared to discard most of the light globe, included the metal fixutre that goes into the soccet. After realising i was staring at them they drove off in a hurry.

I can't for the life of me fathom how this would be part of anything illegitimate, but i think it is.

anyone got ideas?

actually they were getting glass (light bulb glass is the best) to put inside ecstasy tablets.....so it will cut the lining of your stomach and you will then get the most amazing 'come-up' because the ecstasy enters your blood stream faster!
