So basically in a nutshell, I was robbed tonight. I know the guy, but he doesn't know me well. Drugs were involved, so that rules out the police. I know a couple of his friends so I can meet him again. I know the money is pretty much lost, but what would you guys do, and ideas?

If it was me, I'd try and get it back but then again, that could possibly do more harm than good :\ It sounds harsh, but the other way is to build a bridge and get over it. Shit happens and be careful in future transactions.

My first thought would be to stab the mother fucker.
But tbh $800 isn't worth going to jail or dying over.
Just let Karma come around and kick him in the ass.

please excuse me to harsh just get some people when hes by himself and get ur money back u cant jjust let someone get away with that

I have been robbed a couple of times over the last few years, ranging from 50 bucks to 300 or so. What I have learned over he years is generally, you don't get the money back. And the stress and effort you put into the "revenge" ends up not even being worth the money in the end. Usually I end up letting it slide, realizing that getting revenge doesn't get my money back and doesn't affect me in the end. Learn from your mistakes, always make sure you see your product/cash before the trade. If its to good to be true, it probably is. Very few people end up actually getting revenge on someone who robbed them, and generally it just starts a war. What good does it actually do you to cause damage to them or their property? None at the end of the day, think about it. Take your losses, learn from your mistakes - thats it.

what? He just stole his 800

i say u get some friends n tie him up n rape him

if ur not into that then u atleast gotta get ur money back someway some how

I have my own little saying: I Am Karma. I' ve been mugged for $ 60 before, and yea you just got to move on, because you're right its not worth the trouble. But $800 is way different, and as the situation stands (don't feel mods would like me posting all the details of what happened, plus irrelevant, but this was fucked,) this guy has done this before to quite a few others I hear, and he seemed slow and constantly sketched out, like the cops where right around the corner.
The cookie is a good idea, but I don't know how I could trick him into giving the money back before I beat him (can you really die from a cut achilles tendon?) This kid is trouble going nowhere, was talking about wanting to traffic for the mexican mafia, shit like that.

No, no mutual friends, but like I said I know him, although he doesn't really know me. I know his friends, and some of my actual tight friends know him and some of his friends. Not a small town but not big enough apparently. Cold food anyone?
this. Anything else is dangerous and wouldn't contribute to harm reduction, which is the point of this forum. We are not here to advocate violence or vengeance...

I have no sympathy for you.
You knew he'd done it before and you went to meet him anyways? That's your fault man. Use your fucking head next time.

No, i found out by talking to a friend after it happened. She knows the kid and filled me in on alot of his details. I didn't know this before otherwise of course it wouldn't have happened.

Thanks for the reply's everyone.

This kind of discussion really has no place in SO.

At one time maybe legal but that is also against bluelight policy now,
