Your idea of an ideal heaven

Whether you believe in the after life or not, heaven or no heaven, what would heaven be like for you? The kingdom as spoke about in the bible? Is it a place where you are God? Is it fully connecting to the truth in some way or another or an eternal vanishing into a void of nothing.

For me.. Everyone in it will have to be the real them.. no copies just to make my heaven work. Then it would be placed on Earth or somewhere equally amazing.. just rewind to around the time the first homo-sapiens / + Neanderthals started spreading. There'd be me and my close friends, my "friends", my family (that i like) and a whole bunch of strangers(but not too many) who live by and truly believe that you should treat others as you wish to be treated..
But those guys would live a small hike from where me and my buds reside.. or where ever they wanted as long as my extended family were cool with it..

The anxiety and depression, the negative self view, the paranoia and low self esteem will be no more.

I'd also like to be able to have the answer to any question I may wish to ask (that doesn't include, in any way, the consciousness of another person)

And of course there'd be a play dimension where i can pretty much create what i want, do what i want.. basically be God to a blank canvas.

This wouldn't include immortality so i could flip the kill switch if i wanted.. would i want to?

But anyway..

What are your opinions on what heaven is (if you are christian or whatever) or what would you like it to be?

Don't believe in marketing buzzwords; heaven is evidently the result of human thinking and not a reality.

But if I must: A planet similar to our own, with far less people/more spread out. Our history was not marked with war and conflict but instead community, and the desire to utilize science and art together to continually make our lives more harmonious. Children are left alone and not forced into education, instead they develop their own interests and then are provided with the tools and information they need to excel.

Sounds like our heavens are basically the same.. Wanna go halves on the cost? ;)

The state of Heaven, Purgatory, or Hell is simply a perception.

However the question asked, "life after" to which my ideal would be, none. Pure, stark nothingness. For only that life after would give me any sense of "the rapture of being alive".

The idea of heaven for me realistically will be:

People getting along, there's equal distribution of necessities, war in any country has ended, any type of disease has an instant cure and a non - polluted Earth.

the gardens around the temple of heaven in beijing was the most serene place i ever been to. while there, i literally said to the wife "this is actually how i picture heaven".

Wouldn't that be your idea or an ideal future? Otherwise.. Why would your heaven involve disease in the first place? :p

well actually, combine the park in my last post with pokhara.

such a beautiful place

when i think of heaven, i think of a particular state of mind. that is to say a single position of beauty and serenity which will never grow tired. if heaven needed diversity to be explored, then it wouldn't really be heaven by this standard. it would mean that it isn't good enough, and therefore movement is required to chase those mind states. this is found here on earth already. heaven is something else, i think. =D

def.
Sat-cit-a•nan•da

Pronunciation: (sut'chit'ä-nun'du),
—n. Hinduism.
reality, seen through the discovery of Brahman as sat or ultimate being, cit or pure consciousness, and ananda or perfect bliss.

cf. also
SATCHITANANDA is the living spirit-filled (spiritual) result of merging unlimited and subjective absolute beingness with objective absolute consciousness. Here, in the instant of integration, there manifests a complete and spontaneous expression of non-dual integration of subjective and objective -- of beingness and consciousness. Instantaneously in the sacred moment an ever present holotropic morphology or Great Perfection arises as our natural and authentic state (sahaj).

SAT is truth. As such it is the destroyer of falsehood, delusion, deceit and illusion. It leads us from the unreal to the real, out of the veil and into clarity and consciousness of our true state. SAT restores us from a limited, constricted, and separate states of stasis, to our authentic boundless and natural state of unobstructed beingness. This leads to the merger of pure beingness and absolute subjective experience with pure consciousness and absolute objectivity.

Chit is consciousness. It is thus one of the integral ingredients toward waking up out of slumber and forgetfulness and into our true nature, our uncontrived/unconditioned true and natural self.

Ananda is absolute bliss. Here all tension, stress, obstruction, bias, distortion perturbation, conflict, and disturbances have been let go of, surrendered, removed, and purified. Here in SATCHITANANDA the nadis are completely open and the imbalances are balanced -- harmony and synergistic synchronicity allow the shakti prana (kundalini) to maintain and uphold the body/mind and breath and this permeates one's entire being and irrigates the consciousness. Shakti and Shiva are reunited in one's own countenance. One reflects and acts as a the natural transpersonal spontaneous extension, conduit, and expression of divine presence -- of divine love and wisdom reflecting the "reality" of "ALL OUR RELATIONS". Ananda (bliss), contentment (santosha), peace (shanti), or nirvana are the goals, but rather a spontaneous result and expression -- a natural aspect of this transpersonal relationship without a separate subject/object. It thus symbolizes the Great spiritual objectless relationship/integration -- the realization of the Great Integrity where the Great Beingness and Infinite Mind are experienced as a living unity in the present as Great and Sacred Presence.

^ Sounds more like hell to me.. You'd have nobody to talk to and nothing to do.. forever :O

The world as it is with less suffering and (somehow) no inequality that cannot be righted with hard work, along with the ability to be reborn after you die.

I wouldn't want an existence with no struggle. It would feel meaningless.
