dancing lily
Bluelighter
Your frown of golden weight,
Like so many pounds of lead,
Sits heavily upon my mind.
Riddled with confusion
my head falls gently upon your lap
and spins with the deepest unrest.
Roaming thoughts of swirling sadness
echo with mirth in the chambers
of my minds farthest recesses.
Someday when I wander back
To this place in my mind,
Once time has colored it a softer shade of blue,
Your image will not appear to haunt me.
I will see the past through a forgiving filter,
Like some mirror broken with time,
Whose reflection
Is subject to cracks and dents in the glass.
Like so many pounds of lead,
Sits heavily upon my mind.
Riddled with confusion
my head falls gently upon your lap
and spins with the deepest unrest.
Roaming thoughts of swirling sadness
echo with mirth in the chambers
of my minds farthest recesses.
Someday when I wander back
To this place in my mind,
Once time has colored it a softer shade of blue,
Your image will not appear to haunt me.
I will see the past through a forgiving filter,
Like some mirror broken with time,
Whose reflection
Is subject to cracks and dents in the glass.
