ignore the ity-bity little one (the seed got smashed up in germ and it looks all retarded now... think i'll kill it off soon) but anyway the larger seedling is showing some yellowing on the tips of it's leaves and it's little seedling leaves (the ones that don't look like ganja leaves) have gone a yellowish green.

Is this some kind of defeciency? what do i need to give the plant, and how much of it?

Thanks bundles in advance. :)

edit: yes, i realise they look ill but it's my first time growing and overgrow has gone :/ i need your guys help bad lol

I wouldn't kill that little one really. Often the plants that took the most stress, turn out best/most potent. Just place it another pot.

Sorry for ignoring your actual question, I don't know the answer(too much ferts? Too few minerals? too much light? maybe it's just supposed to yellow and fall off)

how should i seperate out the small one if i was to re-pot it? just pick it out? or like dig it out with a chunk of soil?

I'd say take enough soil with it so you don't damage the roots.
You'll be happy if this turns out to be a good looking girl :)

to separate: carefully pinch the bottom stalk of the larger plant. you're holding it there, dont let it move at all. with the other hand, carefully scoop underneath the smaller plant. if done correctly, the larger plant should not have moved at all and youll have pulled a ball of dirt from right next to it. if you do this dry, the dirt will probably crumble and youll fuck up both.

as far as your problem...what are you feeding? how much? whats your light like? temps? soil ph? NPK? age? need more info

Light: outdoor, UK

Water: 100ml / day

No feeding yet cos the soil said it had all the ferts in it when i bought it but yer, maybe it needs more of something? or less of something lol

Temprature is between 8-15 deg centigrade in the day and 6-10 at night (it's in a greenhouse)

I have a rotating fan in there to help build the stems. I know NPK stands for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium but i have no idea of these values.

The larger one is 4 weeks, the smaller one is just over 2 weeks.

If you want any other info ask :)

thx for help so much :)

You give water every other day with temperatures that low? Give them water when they need it, when the soil is dried out and the pots feel lighter. They don't need water every other day. And those temperatures.. Those are way too low.. I cannot see the picture you posted, it's taking way too long too load, but the roots of cannabis plants need to be at or around 18-20 degrees celcius for nutrient uptake. Anything lower then that and they will start to have nutrient deficiencies. Move them inside, place them outside when it's getting warmer. I thought I already told you this?

^ lol everything you described is happening to the plant from what i can see in the picture

your plant is tiny for being a month old.. it looks so sad :( wait until the top of the soil is totally dry before watering it again, which could take as long as a week in those temps

as blowmonkey said, the temps are also too low, 20+ is better for the air temp, but your main problem is overwatering right now

Yeah, that's not good. :(

I'd very, very carefully seperate them. You said ignore the little one, but that little seedling looks better then the 4 week old seedling.

Would any of you expert growers advise the use of a greenhouse heater? If it would help i might buy one today. (so long as they're not majorly expensive)

edit: infact i still have lots of seeds left, would it be better to destroy these seedlings and start afresh a bit later on in the year when the temprature goes up a bit?

Here is a better picture:

(before you ask, no the fan isn't on, i bought them inside to take a pic)

Greenhouse heater? You mean those lanterns they use in greenhouses? Those are used to boost carbon dioxide levels. If it's an actual heater that runs on electricity, why bother wasting time and money on a couple of plants? Just take em inside.

I wouldn't kill them off btw, I'd let them live and start new seeds on the side.

I think i'll just leave them in the greenhouse after seperating them, then wait untill it's hotter and start new seeds, anything i get outta these things will be a bonus

^ probably a good plan :)

next time go a lot easier on the water :) the leaves should be flat most of the time. those ridges are due to the leaves being full of water. if the plant has lived its whole life like this, chances are the roots are almost non existant which is why you're seeing deficiency problems. or you might have flushed all of the nutrients out of the soil by watering so many times, but i'd wait until the plant went a little while without so much water before fooling with adding nutrients, which will just make it worse if none are needed

the way the plant is yellowing means it needs more nitrogen, but you don't need to give it more nitrogen as much as it just needs to get dried out

someone told me if you have yellow tips to put a small amount of chopped banana skins around it. something to do with potassium levels.

would this help oh wise ones?
