Xmas sesh?

Well it's a week to go until the big day, and I'm curious as to how you degenerates will be spending it. Is it more of a chilled out family occasion for you, or is Jesus' birthday an excellent excuse to partake in some festive substance misuse?

I'll be spending the afternoon at Gran and Granddads and having Christmas lunch there, so will be sticking to a modest amount of booze during the day. Now that I've got a bit of spendable cash in my pocket, I'm mighty tempted to get a small stash for chilling in the evening with some films or something. Will probably get a bit of weed off a friend, might even order some ket and hope it still arrives in time.... ket and weed, a pretty festively coloured selection if I do say so myself.

If all goes to plan I should be on day 3 of a 3fpm fuelled foil 'n' fuckfest. Though I suppose we'll have to spend half an hour with the kids at some point...

I'll be spending it alone, doing entirely un-Christmas-y things, like eating microwave meals and doing housework. Not because I'm a Scrooge-Mc-BahHumbug, but because we don't have compulsory office closing over Christmas any more and I made the decision in the summer to use my holiday on going to festivals and stuff rather than having to spend 3/25 days on the time between Christmas and new year. Have a few days off after new year and am going to see family and friends then. Looking forward to the office being nice and quiet so I can hardcore some work I need to do without distractions or maintaining legacy stuff I've done in the last year or so.

That said, I'll probably try not to do any actual work on Christmas day, and will get a few beers in - have a nice bit of weed too. Anything stronger than that which I could potentially get in for a Christmas day waste-fest would undoubtedly end up getting consumed before the "big" day anyway.

The commercial side of Christmas is for the kids anyway, and the religious side is for religious people, so a single, 30-something guy who isn't religious doesn't really have a lot worth doing for the occasion anyway.

In terms of working in an office it can be hit and miss. Been some places where everyone was in and was a bit rubbish. Usually it is good as only a few people so you can piss about/ concentrate

I view Christmas as a time for excess booze and drugs and being lovely towards on another. Even atheists can dig that!

I plan on overdosing on my favorite drug: white sugar in the form of Christmas cookies (biscuits for you lot).

A smoke with my son to finish out the evening will probably happen....because it usually does.
