xanax use getting out of controll and fast!

ok i started of just taking say 3-4 a day only 1mg Upjohn but as the months have past it is litterly on the hour every hour i take 1 so I'm having say 14+ per day and now I've realized I'm digging a very deep dark hole for myself they only effect me for half hour max unlike at 1st id feel them for hours but what I'm regretting now is I've ordered 300 tablets due today so I'm low and panicking until post arrives its ridiculous I'm like a dog with 2 dicks when i see the post man with a parcel for me...this game is eating away at my money fast as here in the UK its not so easy to get, what can i say....SHIT!

Go to your GP and explain the situation. You need to sort out a taper plan if you're serious about coming off them. I'm currently tapering from a higher dose than yourself and i've been prescribed valium alongside it because it's longer acting meaning i don't need to keep dosing to stave off interdose wd symptoms. Xanax only stays in your system for a short time which is why you experience those. Before I had access to valium, i was waking up everynight in real panic and would have to take more xanax to get me back to sleep/feeling normal again. Tolerance to xanax is a real bitch too so i can relate, best to sort it ASAP!

If your GP isn't willing to help (mine wasn't), refer yourself to your local drug centre and see what they suggest. They have their own doctors who specialise in addiction.

sorry to hear about this, dicko89. benzo addiction is indeed a deep dark hole.

switch to a longer acting benzo if you can. even if you're not ready to taper. xanax dosing is a disaster destined to get exponentially out of control because of the garbage duration.
