Xanax Mellows Tramadol?

I took some trams for the first time about a week ago and felt pretty great after 150mg. Ended up upping to 300mg and it was really an amazing experience at least as good as some percs, and I have a descent opiate tolerance.

Since then I've taken it twice more 200mg once and 300 mg last night. I feel nice and relaxed but haven't gotten close to the euphoric high of the first time. The only thing I can see is different is that I took Xanax prior both the second and third time? Could this be some combination effect or I am already building tolerance or something?

Mixing benzos and opiates can increase the sedation you feel, but it can also "dull" the opiate experience. As long as you know your tolerance to both things, mixing the two can be very enjoyable. I personally love the combo. But if you aren't careful, shit can hit the fan real quick when mixing to CNS depressants.

My advice would be to take the tramadol and enjoy your high. Then, if you feel like you can't sleep, or are dependent on benzos I would take your dose much later on. This way you'll get the best of both worlds. If you smoke weed I would highly recommend smoking a little bud with your opiates. Some people claim it dulls it as well, but personally weed is a must for me when I take my daily methadone. Throw in a couple benzos and i'm feeling magnificent. Mmm.
