Benzos Xanax Bars x out DXM??

I'm a med student and have had two exams in the last two days. Whenever I have an exam I pops two adderall 30's and completely absorbs all possible material on the exam. I didn't sleep last night.

I took my exams the next day and after class popped another 60mg of adderall to prepare for the exam coming up in, well now, about 5 hours.

I wanted to get a good nights sleep tonight so since I didn't the previous night. So I took 2 xanax bars and about 70mL of Nyquil which contained roughly 65mg of DXM approximately 6 hours after he last popped the adderall.

I did not feel the slightest effect from the DXM Benzo combo. This is actually the first time I ever taken DXM because I was told is would potentiate the benzos even more because of the tolerance blockers in it. (NDMA I think) Usually 4mg of xanax would put me out like a baby by its self.

I never believed that drugs could cancel each other out but now this conspiracy must be true.

Any thoughts?

Hey there, welcome to Bluelight! There's no swimming here... we know it's you.

What exactly were you hoping to feel with 65mg DXM? That's a cough suppression/tolerance increase preventing dosage, and it shouldn't have had any effect on your Adderall or Xanax high.

Also, you ingested large amounts of tylenol (acetaminophen) and doxylamine with your 14 teaspoons of NyQuil. You should invest in pure DXM-only cough gels, found as Long-Acting Cough Gels in 20-count bottles.
 
Yes this is why i only took twice recommended dosage for the DXM because acetaminophen scares me. I never take tylenol. I was thinking the nyquil would still be enough to make me sleepy especially with the two bars thrown in there
 
NMDA antagonists only work when you take them every day, it doesn't work for acute dosing, nor does DXM potentiate benzodiazepines.

My advice, skip the DXM altogether. If you are looking for a better NMDA antagonist, I'd recommend chelated magnesium.

4mg alprazolam is a lot, do you usually take that much all at once?? Did you just take them orally as is or sublingual them?
