Benzos Xanax+ Aderall = no affect?

I have seen multiple threads that have said benzos when mixed with adderall, gives you euphoria without the anxiety or comedown. (I should also mention before I begin my tolerance is MODERATE to both substances)

I ended up taking two and a half bars, snorting 80 mg of crushed XR Adderall, and dissolving another 40 Mgs in water.

Somehow with a moderate tolerance, and a weight of 140 pounds I received little of what I expected to get, just a shitty cloudy buzz with no euphoria.

As I mentioned before, multiple people posting in threads mentioned they could be used together as a potentiator. So I'm sitting here wondering wtf I did wrong? Anyone have any insight on why I didn't achieve the desireable high I wanted?

I'v experienced the same thing. They just cancel each other out. Pharmacologically speaking, Adderall releases dopamine and NE which causes the good feelings and focus. Xanax increases the amount of gaba in the brain which slows down all other nuerotransmitters.

If used in SMALL doses like .25-.5mgs, xanax takes away the anxiety that addy causes but popping bars is just gonna knock you out and leave you with the shitty cloudy feeling. I found the best way is to save the bars for the comedown so you can relax and sleep

yeah probably just too much xanax, though even if i dose high with a benzo i'll still get stim euphoria no problem, not sure why that amount wouldn't do anything, i find that weird. Even if i took 10mg of xanax i'd still feel that much adderall, and probably be quite spun and my amp tolerance is moderate, 40-60mg d-amp per day, i do have a high benzo tolerance though.

Yeah and when I'm saying moderate I'm talking 40mg max at a time. For every 20mgs of adderall I took one mg of xanax. Once I didn't feel any euphoria I dropped the xanax and just kept chasing it with more adderall to no avail.

yeah that is strange, but who knows, if your tolerance is about the same as mine, i wouldn't believe it if it happened to me, it would take a hell of a lot of xanax to just take the edge off that high of a dose, i'm not sure about adderall XR though, it's too expensive here so i've never tried it. Just with dexedrine spanules, even 20mg of etizolam won't kill the euphoria from an 80mg dose at once. I average around 8-9mg etizolam/day. Maybe staggering your doses instead of taking a bunch all at once made it less effective, especially if you already took enough xanax, still though i'd be shocked if it completely killed the high from that high of a dose of adderall.

Raised my stim tolerance through the roof for nothing man! honestly though 120 mg in and not even a rapid heart beat, just shows how potent benzos can be I guess. I'm going to try this combo again, but instead of staggering the doses I will do them at once and for every 20mg Ill try .25 instead.

i have a pretty high benzo tolerance and high amphet tolerance, i loved to pop 1-2 mg of zanny and drink champagne and blow fat lines of speed all night. THe xanax increased the euphoria in my opinon

When I'm taking benzos by themselves I like to take quite a bit.(4-6 mg alprazolam)

But when mixing with stims I only take a little bit.(.5 at a time, dosed ~3-4 hours apart, or only once with equiv dose of valium or kpins, or 1mg if I'm already geeked but haven't taken any benzos yet)

And I don't even like stims for getting high without benzos, I guess its because I did meth from 15-18 and didn't really touch a pharm stim until some time after that, or its just my biology, but it takes quite a bit of focalin or adderall for me to feel any kind of euphoria and by the time I get there I'm experiencing the typical stim side effects, but I find a small dose of benzos basically just cancels out the side effects(while a high dose cancels out everything)and just lets me enjoy the feeling of the stim(but it doesn't add to it much).

If I'm just taking a small dose of stims to increase focus or wake me up and don't expect to feel any side effects then I won't bother with benzos.

If you must take an amphetamine and benzo at the same time make sure you're actually doing it right, for every 100mg there should be about 2mg of a klonopin/xanax/ativan equivalent benzodiazepine. The point of a benzo with especially racemic amphetamine is it is able to subdue the nasty pns effects from the l-amphetamine. Benzos are highly addictive and more so than amphetamines and the wd is life threatening.

IME it depends on the action of the benzo.

If its a "hypnotic" benzo, then yeah it kills the adderall boost.

If its one of the less "hypnotic" benzos, it can balance the adderall buzz at the right doses. Too much of this will overpower the adderall too.
