WTF are these new realistic looking "Oxycontin" 40 & 80mg pills going around?

Dunno if this is already been discussed in debth, but I keep hearing about these pills being sold by some vendors which look identical to original Purdue OC40/OC80 pills which were banned & halted production like 4-5 years ago??

From what I heard from 2 friends that have done em, the 40mgs crush up to a brownish powder, and are strong as fuck, but they dont last sa long as oxy. The only brown opiate I know of is heroin, but to put that uch heroin in a pill and sell the pill for $6-10 usd (the prices I've heard of thus far), is impossible. One of my friends said he knew someone that got an "OC80" which crushed up green , in & out. He said it didnt last as long either, and suspects they are a mixture of Oxycodone + H + Fent/analogue .

Anyone with experience please let us know how they are; what they taste like sniffed, how long it lasts (especially compared to heroin or original OCs) . .. I hear they dont mix in water very well but if they indeed are super similar to original OC80s, sniffing em wouldnt be a huge issue for me & my friends who want to quit the needle and use an inexpensive strong pill instead.

It sounds too good to be true - and it certainly isnt because if they were the same as original OC's they would be crushing up white. So wtf is cheap enough to sell 10 packs of OC80s @ $120 (if i remember right) + lasts and feels like a real oc, if that is the case. unfortunetly my friends that have tried the 40s never had the opportunity to have bought original OCs so they cant compare... hopefuly someone here can..
thanks!

Without a GC/MS test no one will know whats in your drugs. Could be some RC opiate that's quazi legal. Or it could be fentanyl or something like that.

If it easily crushes right into powder that's brown, it's definitely not Purdue OxyContin. Probably some broke chem students got a pill press and are synthesizing a fentanyl analogue.

It is possible with the price you said there could be a bag or two(100-200mg) of dope with fillers and binders pressed into a pill and that could be the reason for the shorter effects and the brownish color. (i dont think prices are allowed, but its been a while since I been here so I might be wrong. Also this is speculation, we cant tell you what is in them for sure)

what do they weigh out to?

^I just don't see that happening, at least within the circuit of mid to lower level distributors and dealers. It just seems implausible that a small group of people or one person would go to the trouble of pressing heroin into a pill form. This topic has come up before, but I don't recall any conclusions being drawn one way or the other, but that most agree that it is highly unlikely. Dope will sell itself just fine without elaborate marketing promo-gimmicks.

However; with that said, if this was indeed the case and these counterfeit OC's tested positive for essentially pure morphine diacetate as the sole active ingredient, and [from what you've described] they contained significant concentrations (say in the range of >30mg but <100mg) of it, I would be very curious to know the origin. This would likely be a highly organized and well orchestrated large scale operation, with the resources and the ability to formulate such a product. I suppose if this is being done it probably is coming from either Mexico or Afghanistan/Pakistan, where opium/heroin is readily available and inexpensive- much cheaper and more accessible than pharmaceutical equivalents, with the intent of targeting an essentially untapped demographic that has no interest in heroin but that is responsible for consuming the majority of the world's pharmaceutical opioid supply, through both illicit/diverted and licit/legal channels (prescription). In other words, a shitload of people worldwide, and especially in the US.
