Would you still smoke and/or drink if all drugs were legal OTC?

My theory is these drugs are overrated because of legality, not because of preference.

Who would still prefer alcohol or cigarettes if you could buy cheap drugs of high purity legally?

Would you even use them at all if such a world were to exist?
 
No. Everyone would smoke mids in place of cigarettes and eat percs if they were legal and available. Noboby would still be drinking and smoking baccy. People would stop doing the worse drugs like stimulants (idk maybe some people prefer them) or benzos etc. Everybody would just eat alot of roxies or sniff dope or smoke weed and dmt haha would be great someday maybe in my life.
 
Every body has a doc for different reasons,
that being said I would smoke Cigs anymore.
maybe still drink now and then, lots of coke heroin and benzos tho!
 
Humans have been consuming ethanol for tens of thousands of years so there's no reason to expect that to end.
 
@Burnt Offerings But alcohol is low on the euphoria with high intoxicant. If opiates were as social acceptable as alcohol more would use opiates as a daily thing while they work etc. since opiates especially oxycodone are very good for day to day.
 
I'm a daily tobacco smoker, so I'd probably have a couple when I'm really high

But yeah, I'd rather smoke some cheap mids joints all day

I think I'd have some whiskey stashed around, but I'd probably never drink it if I had opiates and benzos on-the-ready

Most people won't use opiates as a social lubricant at the club or go on the prowl for some booty, and you know damn well the MDMA users are still gonna be chain smoking those ciggies. The two aren't goin anywhere imo, though I would expect the number of users to drop. Some people will prefer either til the end, as that's their DOC.
 
I wouldn't be tempted by drugs at all if I lived in a world that actually gave a shit about me. I think most of us can admit that if we had a caring community of people that believed in us, we wouldn't end up in half the dark places we have.

I would still drink beer because it is delicious and fun, hard to go overboard with stuff so weak (10% vs 40)
 
I would probably drink alcohol a lot less too. I can never get my hands on opiates, so the next choice is typically beer. Just wish it wasn't so harsh on the body, at least the way I abuse it.

Well humans have also been cultivating poppies for thousands of years, so I have no doubts about it's popularity/significance. But alcohol really holds a special place in human history and culture and I just don't see it being replaced by anything. The fact that it's a powerful psychoactive drug that's legal almost everywhere should be a testament to that.
