Would you spend 25.39 Pound Sterling on cigarettes a day

That's what a 40 pack of mid range cigarettes cost in Australia!

Ten years ago I smoked 40 a day when a 40 pack cost 7.50 pound Sterling.
 
Yes, I consider 25 quid for a pack of fags fuckin ludicrously expensive. However, we don't get 40 packs over here, only 20s, and they're about a tenner so there's not a massive price difference really. This is why I only smoke rolling tobacco. 30g lasts me about 3 days and costs £11.00.

So a 40 pack is 45 AUD down there? DAM!!
I mean, it is a lot of money for 40 cigarettes, sure.
I can get at least 2 grams of MDMA for that money.
Or a kg of the most expensive beef in a supermarket, like Picanha.

No way in hell. I'd been spending £8.49 a day and just recently cut my smoking in half because I still feel like in wasting money.
 
I know plenty of people who buy those dodgy under the counter fags or baccy, always complaining they're nasty to smoke, smell funny, and have fuck knows what in 'em, dodgy Chinese shit probably full of metals. But when a legal box of 20 with a huge picture of an open anus on the front is £12 I understand the appeal.

I also do not get the logic at all of having a minimum of 30g for tobacco. How do we get people to smoke less? Force them to buy more! Yeah that'll do it!

Thankfully I don't smoke. Nicotine is a nasty drug and tobacco a nasty substance as far as I'm concerned. I don't like spliffs either far prefer pure joints. I'll put up with spliffs if it's someone else's weed and they're passing it around. But if I'm rolling my own it's always pure. Nicotine does seem to make the weed hit harder, but also makes the high dirtier in my opinion.

As for money I had a £100 a month DHC habit which just fucked with my finances every month, thankfully those days are over as I now got a proper NHS script for it (no I'm not blagging, I have an actual need, waking up every morning with LBP isn't fun). Those online pharmacy regulations turned out to be a blessing in disguise in my case.
 
Wooow that's a lot of money, here in romania we pay 18 lei for a 20 cig pack, 18 lei equals 3.48 pounds. i would never smoke if the prices would be that high, at local markets you can get ukranian contraband cigs from gipsies at half the price so 9 lei 1.74 pounds but those got a weird taste

Absolutely. If you're going to kill yourself, do it safely... =D

As for smoking pure joints, how the fuck do you do it? I put a tiny amount in a tobacco spiff (about the same as you would using decent hash) and it fuckin floors me. But aside from the knock out effect, neat weed catches on my throat, closes up my airways and gives me the mother of all coughs the next day.

As for the weed, tolerance is the simple answer to it not flooring me. As for my throat, it used to be quite rough but now I've gotten more used to it it's barely an issue. I can even take a strong hit off a pipe without coughing most of the time these days. But as the old saying goes... if you ain't choking you ain't toking!

Glad it isn't just me that noticed that tracheostomy-esque thing on a box of smokes looks like a savaged arse you would find on Xhamster.
The first time I saw it was via a empty box on the floor & I had to look twice to actually notice it wasn't some kinda weird porn that someone had stuck on the box to fuck with people walking past.

Some of the fags taste weird from there, his Mayfair seem ok though, if they are from China I wonder if I asked him to have a word with his contact & see if they could fill them with MDPV for me instead, I 'd smoke that shit all day & the legit box of fags with that throat pic / destroyed anus might not look so bad after a few PV fags;)
 
Glad smoking was something that never appealed to me enough beyond the odd cigarette after a drink at the pub.

These days I wont even smoke weed. I have a handy little vape for that now. Much healthier! More covert too.

Mate when I first saw it in the shops I was staring at it, bloke at the till must have thought I was a nutter, but I explained to him I'm just looking at that box of fags... yeah that one right there... that's the one... is that a fucking bumhole on the front? He laughed, looked at it for a few seconds himself and said he won't get that image out of his head whenever he sees those boxes now.

I considered that my good deed for the day.
