Hi so im writing this message i wrote a similiar one years ago but sadly im still experiencing the same issue.

For over 8 years now whenever i am in contact with: Petrol, Air Freshener, Perfume, Aftershave, Scented Candles, gloss paint, solvents, sealants i get Migraines and Cluster Headaches

The health system in the UK is rather shit and they just tend to throw pills at you for symptoms and wont thoroughly test you to find out what the root cause is, so i still do not know to this day why i am experiencing this.

Recent examples:

Travelling on a bus/train next to someone with loads of perfume even for just 15 mins = migraine, nausea, head pain, brain fog, blurry vision, mood change , clumsiness 4-5 hours

Visiting a relative where air fresheners are used in that home , duration of stay 1-2 hours approx = 3 days of migraines, nausea, head pain, brain fog, blurry vision, mood change, clumsiness, light sensitivity AND lots of physical pain just like Fibromyalgia pain, bedridden basically

Im on the verge of suicide at the point of choosing to either spend all of my time alone or keep ending up around my triggers and being unwell. Migraine preventatives dont work for me and give me weird nasty side effects. The relief tablets dont work either.

Edited to add:

I also thought i should add in terms of overall physical health im actually at the strongest and best form ive ever been, started doing weights 2 years ago (altho always trained arms, did bodyweight squats and push ups etc) then bought a bench and bar squat rack and everything got right into it , i religiously work out 5 times a week 90 minute or more sessions

This doesnt cause a migraine or give me symptoms but i dont know how i would cope without doing it.

Better call em bad smell cover ups, like Perfume/ Deo/ Air-fresheners a.o.
Even Ionizer s [Ozon, O2 vs O3] have a bad reputation in creating toxin s.

They are, except maybe the Eko/ superbrand, filled with shit.
That is bad for everyone, but most allergy s/ intolerance s build over time.
So just a example, Chloor didn t cause my Mom any trouble,
till a certain point. And at that point it would hit her hard.

So the Chlorinated tap water, att, became a poison.
Few tokes of swim pool fumes or droplets of water, extreme reaction s.
Fumes ment black out, physical contact blisters.

So it s a definite possibility, as these products don t have to comply to
norms of food s. Btw bad smells can be taken care of better with use of enzymes.
They wil eat bad smell, instead of covering it. And loading poison in your environment.

Get the Perfume effect, the person stepping in public transport filling it with odor.
Just lucky i am not allergic ed.

If you can be physically well alone - you can also learn to be mentally well alone - I don’t claim to know how to do it but many have lived life’s of solitude and found peace. I’m not sure if work would affect your symptoms or not but hopefully not.

In the meantime during your solitude you can wait the long wait of navigating yourself further into the medical system to find out what’s wrong…if that is still possible. Holding on to this sort of hope that you will come out on the other end of this is inportsmt for your present sanity. It was a spine I issue so totally unrelated but I spent 8 years barely able to walk and eventually bedridden and came out of it totally cured after getting a surgery and recovering for 2 years. So there’s sometimes hope to come out of seemingly permanent medical issues. It might be helpful to look up stories of recovery from your issue- be warned you’ll come across som doomsday stories from ppl on the thick of it like yourself because ppl that are sick tend to complain more than ppl that are well tend to tell recovery stories.

I’m sorry you’re suffering this much. Life is so unfair.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I have a lot of sensitivities also but not to the extreme you are describing.

I am especially sensitive to fabric softeners, which almost everyone uses. I get lightheaded with brain fog issues and dizziness when it's strong. And certain perfume scents lead to migraines.

I wish I had a suggestion that would be more helpful. For me just trying to limit my time to the exposure is what helps the most. Have you tried wearing a mask when using public transportation? It might help slightly.

When I'm not at my job, I'm alone 90% of the time. I am perfectly happy with that.
im going weeks or months saying Thank you and bye after a shop and thats it, i dont have a job i dont know how i could work with this + mental health issues right now

Id be willing to grin and bare the mental health issues tho if the dr can figure out what is wrong with me and i can manage it better on the physical side of things tho

Its important to note that i have still experienced everything bad even on a 2 year sobriety break (no weed, no medications no drugs nothing)

I think this depends on individual-some people have a personality that really can not thrive in prolonged solitude; some people prefer company. And some personality qualities can be really hard or impossible to change.

I sign to the statement that chronic disorders use to have certain kind of arc in lifetime where they can become much easier to manage eventually after years, it is really weird. And sometimes one has gotta fight a lot.

I had friend who had same kind of issues-and also allergic to bright sunlight.

I admire your strength to keep pushing through this without drugs.

I am in a bad medical situation myself and for the first time dealing with physical suffering without resorting to narcotic pills. It is a new experience and very unnatural

right now i do use cannabis and im on a low dose of pregablin, this 2 year sobriety was around 3-4 years ago

Right now i wouldnt be able to handle sobriety as my sleep will go from 5-6 hours a night to 2-4 if im lucky

I only use cannabis and mostly try to use CBD in conjunction, medication wise i am on pregablin 150mg twice a day but i only take 75mg i have tried to stop taking it a few times but everything sounds really loud around me and i end up taking it again (diagnosis is BPD, but its likely im also on the spectrum, the Triple )

They painted a lot and got paints on their skin and then BAM! allergy with migraine symptoms and rash from topical triggers. Rash from sun. They finally found products that work for them but had to be wary of sun in the summer.

Gloves and Mask s, when working with Thinner [a Toluene or Xylene,
with Acetone/ other Ketones and Alcohol s] the masks used where.
High grade, but they filtered out the brain dissolving shit, and any odour,
when taken off and inhaled pure it was very apparent.
Thinner has quite a smell, so it where HQ mask s !

On it was 100 % clean, well that s how it seemed when removing the mask. 👃

My mate who has high IQ and was a bit crazy same time worked
without. He was high he mentioned.
But glad i had a mask and a other friend wore 1 too.

Advise you just wear one next time you visit a problematic area.
Check if it makes a difference, bit shocking maybe at the same time.
But we are used to mask s due to COVID. Right ?
And the fam just explain it.

OK my IQ ain t that high as my mate,
explain WTF solitude has to do with intolerance/ allergy to toxin s.
Besides avoiding places.

Its getting a bit Psychological, a made up thing, IMO.

Sunlight brightness is a marker for skin LUPUS btw.

Medical system ? In the West, got to be kidding if that exist s.

DIY, its over here. Sorry healthcare ain t cutting it, by the time they
find something you are way beyond despair.

wow... i never liked how people that use strong soaps and perfumes complain about people that smell like smoke, but i never thought about it this hard. i just googled and you can be allergic to scent... i'm all for public smoking now.. fuck this. lol

i kind of know the feeling of having to do with people's scents and getting physical problems... i worked in a warehouse that allowed smoking and the nerves in my back used to be a lot worse.. the cigarette smoke made it feel like there was a knife in the top left side of my head.

i'd probably just deal with the migraines if the meds they gave me didn't help... hopefully you don't have to be around people wearing strong scents all the time.

Have you had your baseline vitamins and minerals checked? How's your diet? How much water do you drink? Any allergies?

Ive always been thirsty all the time for years, dont have diabetes I drink plenty of water i also drink decaff tea or tea i dont drink any cola or anything else really no coffee (cant stand it)
My diet is fairly clean and good i dont ever buy takeaway but the odd meal is a frozen processed oven meal but i do try to limit that, i workout 5 times a week (havent always, on and off over the years but actually making more progress now than before)

Had bloods checked recently all baseline vitamins seem normal nothing out of whack
No allergies that i know of

I talked about the arch of disorders. I am not intending to be annoyingly overpositive or anything...

anyway, I had this constant thirst that got worse in evenings. Toking weed helped that. Stress made it worse. I have talked about this with few people and it seems to be rare but existing phenomenon; some kind of fatigue thirst.

I have no idea why but somehow I don't really suffer of this problem anymore really. I think I achieved this indirectly by just focusing on making my life better otherwise.

Obviously this problem of yours can not really wait. It sounds like aside of dealing with root cause you could benefit of some strategy that helps symptoms while you'd satisfy your needs.
