Would it be foolish to invest in global pharma?

Then I don't really know what to tell ya, friend. Investing in big Pharma is just like investing in anything else. Do your homework, and if you know any insiders, talk to them.

The performance of Global Pharma will ultimately depend on the ability of other, larger pharmaceutical firms to maintain patent privilege through political means. This will ultimately loom larger than FDA regulation, I think. I also don't think that their performance will depend crucially on regulation of singular opioid medications. If you look at the most commonly prescribed drugs, they're actually compounds that (often dubiously) combat heart disease.

Quite a general category; it of course depends on the corporation. I don't think its any better or worse than investing in any corporation; they all operate in the same basic manner. If you want real advice talk to someone who specializes in investment.

After doing a little digging global pharma appears to be a shell company recently created by Endo. I guess come hell or high water they were not losing their opana money.
