Bupe Would I get dropped from my suboxone program?

Hey all! I'm on my first week of sub treatment, and I'm 3 days clean so far.
I have my next drug screening in 12 days, but do you guys think the sub Dr would drop me for having weed or xanax in my system?
I mean I have legit reasons to use them since I can't sleep cause subs make me speedy and give pretty bad anxiety.
Obviously it all comes down the the Dr, but in general has anyone been dropped because of these reasons?
I'm going to try to have just bupe in my system, but just in case..:\
 
It's totally a matter of discretion. But yeah people have been dropped for weed. Did you get the xanax on prescription? That may change things a bit.

Whatever the case, I think it'll really just come down to the character of your doc and the mood he's in on the day.
 
I start out patient today. I smoked weed recently. But when i was there friday and got UA i told him that i had smoked weed the week or so prior. So i SHOULD test positive. You could try telling him that you smoked weed before you started treatment? But the #s should be going down not up. If they just do POS/NEG test it might work, but i dunno man.

I for example definitely will get dropped for having weed in my system past the next couple of weeks, so I'm done smoking. I also would definitely be getting kicked out for xanax. So ya its very likely that will happen if you do that. Is a bit of weed really worth losing the subs? If so i recommend you peace from the program and just smoke weed. But if youre like me, you know that is not a long term solution, and replacing opiates with smoking weed all day everyday (again) is no better really, just easier on the wallet and no physical sickness. But still sick in the sense of not doing anything, not bettering my life, etc.

Idk i'm def done smoking weed for awhileeeee. I get UA every week so its impossible for me to get away with smoking weed.

I hear you bro. I'm going to stop popping xanax in the next few days so it wont show up in the test. I don't wanna loose getting subs over weed so I'm not going to smoke from here on out. I'm not as worried about the weed as I am the xanax. My doctor seems cool and he didn't specifically say if anything but bupe shows up in the UA you're out. If you ask me going from being an opiate addict for years to just smoking a little weed for sleep, isn't the biggest deal, but you never know.

Are you prescribed the xanax? If you are, then it would be ok to test positive for it, if your not prescribed though then it will be a problem.

And I am VERY VERY sure you wont get dropped after one bad UA. Especially if its your first one.

If I were you I would talk to the doctor about the side effects your getting from the bupe and maybe he can offer up a solution for you.

Self medicating though is not gonna cut it in the long run if you wanna stay on your bupe program.

Thats what I'm going to do. I think if im truthful with him and let him know that weed might show up in the UA he might be more understanding.
No the xanax isn't prescribed, but if I'm stopping soon my UA will be good. Its just the first time in my life that I'm using these things for a legit reason instead of wanted to get "fucked up".
Anyone reading ever have their sub Dr write them anything for anxiety like xanax/klonopin?
 
My sub doctor prescribes me Klonopin. I dont take sub anymore though I switched to methadone, he still writes me Klonopin though. It took me 2 years of working with him to finally get him to write it for me though.

How'd you go about getting it? Did you just tell him you needed something for anxiety or just hint to him that you'd get anxiety or something?
 
In the past I had been prescribed Xanax by a different doctor and it helped me greatly and I never abused it or became addicted to it. So I argued that why should a drug that is so beneficial to me be kept away just because I have a heroin addiction, when I have used benzo's in the past and have had no ill effects from them and used them as prescribed, no abuse. I argued all these points and a few others when I would go in and see him and finally he gave in and started writing me Klonopin.
 
when i was in a methadone program they didn't want me smoking weed and when they found out i took xanax they wanted to talk with my doctor
 
Me personaly I got prescribed xanax by the same doctor that was prescribing my subs...
So obviously he couldnt bitch, he prescribed them to me because I told him I had anxiety after stopping the dope...

But I have heard of problems arizing from eather of those.
So its really up to the doc, personaly I feel like mines a money hungry dr. so I doubt he would cut me for anything really...
Double edged blade having one like that tho...
 
In my experience, benzos aren't very tolerated with Suboxone doctors around here unless you have a prescription for them and have a well-documented reason as to why you need them. When I got on Suboxone this third time around it was with a different doctor and I told him during intake that I was being treated for social anxiety disorder by a psychiatrist and was taking my 3mg of Klonopin a day as prescribed. He was hesitant at first but after talking to him about all the other drugs and treatments I had tried for anxiety with no luck, he eventually agreed to take me on as a patient and let me continue with the Klonopin. I had to drop piss every appointment for the first 3 months but for these other 19 months, I have yet to be tested by my doctor. Most doctors I know of have a zero tolerance policy for benzos unless you're prescribed.

I know with weed, there is usually a grace period for the first month or so because of how long it can be present in urine for a regular smoker. After the first month, most doctors I know of have a three strike rule with weed. If you test positive for weed more than three times after your first appointment, they're going to drop you unless they're 100% in it for the money.
 
Thanks for all the responses. I'm def gonna stop doing xanax in the next few days, give myself a full week of nothing but bupe.
I smoked today and the past few days too but very little amounts outta one of those cigarette one hitters.
Weed might show up in my test but I'll try to cleanse as much as possible, im a skinny dude so weed tends to leave my system fairly quick.
 
i seriously doubt you will get kicked for weed. when i was on methadone they didnt give a damn about weed.
