Worst excuse(s) you've ever heard for not implementing harm minimization?

I've always been really big into filtering, and recently I found out a friend of mine never used them cause she "just didn't see the point in them."

I was really confused and asked her why.

Her answer was, "If it can stick through the needle, it can fit through your vein, right?"

I've heard of people swallowing drugs after first puking them out. (ie: shrooms, x)

I guess their excuse is something along the lines of, "10 second rule" or "It's still good, it's still good!"

But the best of all time has to be the universal, "I just like to party, I can quit when I want."
 
well..im at fault here.

not using a micron filter to IV pills - "eh..i dont have one, but i have pills. cotton sounds fine to me."

not doing a test shot of dope and OD'ing on a fent bag(s) - "i was fiending..you guys HAD to go to the store and get a stem instead of letting me rig up."

oh god probably so many more from me.

not filtering seems a bit more stupid.

although ive done it all. cold shot unfiltered..im sure all of bluelight cried at those moments. but when youre fucking throwing up and you dont have a spoon/lighter just a bottle of water and youve jabbed yourself time and time again with a dull needle trying to reg a shot...your mind starts thinking a little different. if you havent broken a "harm reduction" rule i dont think youve ever been where some of the people on this board have been.

Been there, took a cold shot of oxycontin filtered through a piece of a cottonball with a dull needle. I'm pretty damn lucky nothing bad happened. What's even worse about that time is I didn't even have an excuse, well.. besides the sickness.
 
i love my best friend to death, and mostly she is willing to abide by my rules when we do drugs together, but when she does with other stupid people, she often ignores harm reduction. the one that irks me the most (even though it's not a big deal) is when she's come back from a long night of stimulants and drinking, she always takes tylenol pm even though i've told her a million times to just buy some cheap, generic diphenhydramine (wastes less money, less hard on the liver after drinking.)

I dont know what this pill is so ill pop em to find out! yeah fucking genius take an unknown pill.

A buddy of mine who sells yayo he cuts his gear with some wicked shit. He wont listen to my advice he cuts his shit with bad stuff. Whats the excuse for that? money?
 
^^^ why doesnt he just use normal cuts, its not like itll make a difference to his pocket...
