Hello, can anyone give me a figure on how much thujone wormwood contains by weight?

Even more pointedly how much thujone 75g of wormwood would contain.

Thanks.

well i dont know the answer, but im interested in what can be done a buttload of thujone. i didnt think it was recreational.

It is supposed to have an intoxicating effect. If you read into why absinthe is not illegal and / or regulated heavily most places, you will see why.

What I am after is homemade absinthe with a thujone content roughly 10x what normal store bought absinthe has (~10mg / liter).

It shouldn't be hard..

since it is organic, the content varies greatly from sample to sample, anywhere from 40-90%

Thujon content in dry wormwood can vary greatly depending on soil, climate, time of harvest, method of essication, and more importantly sub-type of the wormwood plant. Pontarlier's wormwood is the highest in thujon, BUT the point is

A pro-convulsant GABA-antagonist? Why would you want that?

You don't wanna mess up with high doses of a crappy stimulant that has zero recreational value. Pretty much the same as pinocamphon contained in hyssop. Read some updated info on absinthe, all the "drug" thing is utter BS, the drug in absinthe is alcohol.
P.S. I'm drinking absinthe for many years, because I like the taste, and had clandestine absinthe with more than 100mg/lt of thujon. No difference from regular brands.

I've said it before and I say it again: I personally do not think thujone is responsible for the effects of absinthe, because both Sage and Cedar contain even higher thujone levels than wormwood.

I think it is either some other component exclusive to wormwood, OR an exclusive synergy between the thujone and the alcohol that simply would not happen with either on its own.

Theory would be easy to test by eating sage and drinking alcohol, and comparing the effects to those of absinthe.
