Misc Will tramadol thin my blood?

Was told to avoid blood thinners 7 days before my surgery. I know it is not a blood thinner, but is there anything in it that may possibly act as a blood thinner?
 
I am 99% certain that it doesn't, as I have to watch out for blood thinners, becuase I am at a high risk for bleeding. That said, I am sure a few minutes on google would fully answer your query. But why did you think it was a blood thinner in the first place???

Ya...I'm on tramadol and was on it before I had my cholecystectomy and that's what they had me using.
 
Would have googled, but my mobile and google dont seem to be getting along very well atm. Also, when I was told to avoid blood thinners, she said no Ibuprophen, so I just wondered if there were other things I should be abstaining from. Thanks.
 
Don't take anything with ASA (aspirin), Ibuprofen, or Naproxen Na (Aleve). There were a few other drugs. Don't take NSAIDs, period, just to be safe. I can't remember what else, but they should have given you a list of stuff. Do you have your surgery soon? If you haven't had your pre-op visit they should give you a list along with liquid dial or some anti-microbacterial soap to bathe with and all that good jazz.
