Will snorting anti-histamines work?

Hey guys, whenever I take opiates I use an antihistamine with them to combat the nausea. But lately I've been finding the anti-histamines less effective, meaning I have to take higher doses and they wear off sooner.

The doses aren't a big issue since they're cheap meds, but I'm getting sick of them wearing off and getting hit with random boughts of nausea and vomitting in the middle of my buzz. The problem is that once you start throwing up it can be hard to keep a pill down long enough for it to work. So I was thinking maybe it would help if I snorted it. Faster relief + can't vomit it back up.

Does anybody know if this will work/if it's safe?

The antihistamines in question are promethazine or doxylamine.

Diphenhydramine lasts a fair few hours. I can't imagine it running out before opiates do.

Possibly a good plan.

There's also the possibility of plugging them (if you don't mind the act of doing so lol).

You could try an Antipsychotic that's used for nausea such as Prochlorperazine but there is quite a list of side effects, some quite nasty indeed, that can happen to you so you do need to be careful.

This is a good piece of info.. there's a "worst thing you've ever snorted megathread" You should add that too the list so more people will know.

I was actually considering crushing up promethazine and Roxicodone and snorting it in the same line... This godawful summer heat is causing me to get nausea when I'm high... thanks for this!!

Also, I have heard IV users will put an anti histamine in their shot.. so I imagine you can snort them if you can IV them provided it's the pure anti histamine.. I wouldn't want to snort the extra stuff that could be in there!

Oh, I don't IV pills, or anything at all.. I was just saying I heard people add anti histamine to their shots to prevent the histamine reaction.... Ive seen it posted here... but wasn't speaking from personal experience!!

I plug, snort and use orally!

But I agree, if someone shoots pills they should use a micron filter!

if your dealing with more potent opiates; methadone can last 12 hours, suboxone lasts 24 hours. so you need to redose with benadryl multiple times.

I use methadone mostly, with suboxone in between to combat withdrawals.
