Stimulants Will Ritalin affect me if i've used meth a lot in the past?

I got a script for Ritalin for 10mg. In my past I've snorted and smoked meth, binged on it for months and done it a lot in the past year. Will Ritalin even affect me? If not how much would?

well considering they have different ways of acting on the brain then yes. Ritalin is to cocaine as desoxyn is to meth.

try 20mg oral and see if it makes you feel good. But you can't compare the Methylphenidate high to the Methamphetamine high.

I had a similar or certainly related question.

I did quality powder cocaine 1985-1995 (solid flake, off the brick), then mainly meth from 95-2000. The past 15 years, caffeine has been it! Cocaine was the preferable high, though I sure had some awesome rushes from tweak.

Anyway, I was just prescribed Ritalin 5mg/bid. On arriving home about an hour ago, I looked up Ritalin, and decided on chewing 20mg, and on an empty stomach. While I now find myself typing without a plan (8)) I need to research thiis further. I've long heard of it comparing to cocaine on some level, but this doesn't seem remotely similar. Yeah, I wasn't expecting pacing around the room in a tin-can, rushing my balls off, but I can't picture abusing this at all. When I first saw how tiny the pills were, I couldnt help but think 'maybe I can run this, if its worth it' but I dont see that happening.
